Killdisk is recommended when there's partitions that were obstructing loader installations. I like it cause I know my HDD is totally all 0's. However windows instalation clean install is fine

Mine's about six months old, and I DID do an sfc /scannow, that might be it.
Honestly, I'll just go back to my XP SP 2 instead. I have like 2 G ram total and that's sh*t in today's world. Especially when Win 7 eats 1 by itself.

Yea whatever you prefer would be my suggestion. I also have 2GB but no complaints from me. I kinda liked vista but 7 seems way easier on resources and kinda a solid OS. I wouldn't want any other OS and I've tried most :D

Oh, don't get me wrong, I *ADORE* Win 7. It's as good as Vista was awful.
I seriously want to switch to this on a more permanent note once my pc becomes less...well, less of a piece of sh*t, honestly.
    2 G ram, 8600 GT , 2.6 AMD ATHLON 64 >.>. *cough*

Dude that's so much faster than mine compaq v3000 dual core 1.6 Ghz...lol

Are you x86 or x64 win 7 cause I think it's better to use x86 if you got less than 4GB :D

Exact same thing, but ofc X64 lets you use more than 4 GB D=.
Which is what I'm using. Not like I had a choice haha.
I love my XP though. it's slowly becoming outdates and that kinda scares me, I donno when I can upgrade my rig -_-. Not sure where to pull $600 or so for it out of my *ss from.

I believe that if you add an additional 2gb ram, your rig would do fine. I've seen systems with lower speed that runs win7 pretty good, but 4gb is more or less the minimum for 64bit.

Ah but not for hardcore gaming. I've got a bunch of sh*t installed that runs in the background >=3.
