Since it didnt worked for me the first time, i gave it another go. this time i let the crack run from setupcomplete.cmd with /a /s After the setup it was not activated cause i didnt let setupcomplete.cmd do a reboot. But after the reboot windows wouldnt load anymore and it stuck at the bootscreen. Tried to install Ultimate x64 in vmware.
Even if i install the crack in a clean ultimate x64, it wont reboot anymore, it hangs on the bootscreen. Works in PRO
Tried it on Ultimate x64, worked first time. Straight clean install, no extra partitions other than the hidden System Partion.
hi all, im trying to use your fix to activate my windows 7 ultimate 64bit, but i have this issue: Failed to find windows boot drive. How can i fix it? I dont have any dual boots, i have only win7 installed
this crack did not activate vmware for me ether, but works on all the real hardware I have tested it on.
tested and working 100% . But the problem with s3 sleep mode still exist . i hope this problem will be solved as soon as possible.
Do you have the hidden 100mb partition? If so, you could try mounting it prior to running the app and see if that makes a difference... You can use "diskmgmt.msc" to do this. Click the Start button, then in the Run/Search bar type diskmgmt.msc and hit the Enter key to run it. (You can also right click on the "diskmgmt.msc" search result that Windows displays above the search bar and select "Run as Administrator" if needed.) If that still does not work you can locate one of the hacked bootmgr's around that people have posted and just manually replace the one on your boot drive with the hacked one and see if that works for you... Note that if you do this you will need to go into your Windows Explorer settings prior and enable it to "Show hidden files, folders and drives", as well as un-check "Hide protected operating system files" so you can see the "bootmgr" file (as it is a hidden system file). After that, just locate your bootmgr file (you can search for it if you wish), rename it, then copy the hacked one over... EDIT: If you try the manual replace method and Windows does not let you rename the "bootmgr" file so you can replace it, you may have to take ownership of the file first. (You are better off renaming the "bootmgr" file to "bootmgr.bak" instead of deleting it so that you can put then original bootmgr back after if the activation does not work! Then just copy the hacked bootmgr in its place...) If you don't know how to take ownership of a file, I have attached a TakeOwnership.zip file that contains a .reg file that, when run and merged with the registry, will place a "Take Ownership" option in the right-click context menu of Windows Explorer, so you can then just right-click on the "bootmgr" file and select "Take Ownership"...then try again to rename and replace it.
I tested this on PRO x86 and x64 , and Ultimate x86 and x64 Worked on all versions , but not on ultimate x64
The bootmgr method simply will not work for some people. Try a loader, that should give you much better results.
hi thanks for your answer but my problem is still here, i replace the bootmgr in my hidden partition but im gettin the same error
As I said previously, the bootmgr method just will not work for some people... Try a loader (or mod your BIOS) and you will likely have a better result.
Noob question alert: After reading through these forums (these 14 pages included) I couldn't decide what method is better. What's itching is M$ able to counter all of them? After doing the reading, I chose to mod my P5Q BIOS and it works flawless even if I had some... issues with using non-Asus-official mobo BIOS. You know, I'm one of the dinosaur guys that skipped on Vista entirely (I had enough of it on my clients computers to want it in my computer) so was never familiar until now with these complicated methods (in XP I copy/pasted a string and voila! system activated) that I'm still learning about. So, is there a method that M$ will not be able to detect/counter?
