You have to repeat the activation request a couple of times, sometimes it needs a few tries. If it doesnt work after the 10th time then your installation is probably one of those where it just does not work.

Actually i didn't quite understand something, with the version 5.0 activator can i also activate office 2010 or should i wait an up to date version of the activator ?
You need to wait for the next version, till then you can follow tuvi's steps to activate office 2010.
