    Hmm, strange.
It works without any delay on my Athlon 5600+ with 3Gb ram

    Maybe you disabled animations?

    No, I work with out-of-box Windows 8.
I have not changed anything
Can you tell me your PC's configuration? I will try to look closely into the issue.
We can use PM and my native language is Russian.

That's strange. When does it appear?
It _looks_ bigger or is actually bigger? Does it has the same width with large taskbar? I plan to remove glass from it.

There is nothing worng with your show desktop button... It's always been like that in Windows 7 with touch enabled.

Tell that to Microsoft, they seemingly don't believe desktops and laptops exist, we're all using tablets.

Absolutely no problems at all. Both Windows 8 (Pro) and Server 2012 RTM (Datacenter) work great! Start Menu user tiles also work as expected. This is just too awesome!

Just from Show Desktop button, because it looks out of place. Or maybe redraw it...

You can remove it completely if you want, i use the old quick launch method. Maybe you can add an option to the patcher to remove it or not :p

One thing I find odd is that when I use explorer.exe from Server 2008 R2 and put it on Server 2012....why do I get the Windows 7 style start menu/button? Instead of the Server style start menu/button?

Because Server 2008 R2 looks like Windows 7 with themes on.

So you're saying Server 2012 has "themes on" by default? Thus I'm getting the Win7 style?

Bummer, I can't find anywhere to turn it off. Even when you go into Color and Appearance it tells you that page is not available in that edition of windows.

It's no big deal, I was just curious. No need for all that fancy stuff. It looks like crap over RDP anyway. The high contrast options change it back to the server style but holy crap those look even worse! :roll1:

Me too, the windows 7 start button is not needed.
After a few days I missed the win+x, that you easily can customize with Win-X editor.
The Metro thing however I want to disable.
I did not find an option to disable metro, and keep the win+x.

It would be great, if this was an option.
