if you are missing volume .... just google volume2 if you are missing volume .... just google volume2
I would tend to agree with this statement. The whole attraction to what you have done thus far is bring back the functionality in a native state, versus using third party utilities.
Explorer.exe in win8 still contains 60% of start menu code. I just need to write 40% remaining and we can have native start menu with all features... It's long way however, and could broke if M$ removes more code, but yet it's very perspective.
Oops...guess I didn't read properly before posting that...sorry my bad Oh...now I understand keep up the good work
i dont think ms can now remove anycode... :/ windows RTM version its out ... sooo they have to wait for SP1 :/ to remove or add feature... i think :? btw thanks for all hard work ...
LOL @ the guy that just asked to get banned. He was banned in less than a minute. Now that's service!!! Any luck on getting the whole recently used documents to work a little better? Is a reset of explorer still needed? Also, about that, resetting explorer.exe. If I go in and kill explorer.exe then run a new explorer.exe I get metro back so the system is still pointing to the original Win8 explorer (system path I assume). We have to make sure we remember where we put the Win7 explorer and make sure to run that if we need to manually reset it (due to crash or whatever).
Easy to explain. Did put mine to Code: c:\explorer7\ so after applying the patch the system is running this explorer.exe directly from that location i did choose. After killing this explorer.exe you will have to restart Code: c:\explorer7\explorer.exe instead of Code: c:\windows\explorer.exe . This will happen if you only input "explorer" in new task prompt. regards
Well yeah. After 17 years just typing in explorer has become one hell of a habit! But for my users, some of them are technical enough to know how to reset explorer. This little bump will be a learning curve for them. Thus: "We have to make sure we remember where we put the Win7 explorer and make sure to run that if we need to manually reset it (due to crash or whatever)."
