    am i asking too much?

windows 7 firewall establishes teamviewer vpn connection but cannot accept incoming rdc (remote desktop connection) through that, but only when i open all ports!!! tried 1723, 5938, 80 and more tcp/udp, also i cannot see anywhere which port is blocked when connection fails .. or am i asking too much?

on the other hand comodo was ok with that, but killed firefox, would not even start in safe mode, the exe was running but there was no gui, perhaps due to my addons, dunno, but i love my addons, spent years compiling my addon mix ... won't abandon them due to some stupid firewall !!!!!!!

furthermore since i' m using lots of loaders, keygens etc ... i want smthn that doesn't mess about a lot ... i mean i rather have no firewall at all, before my apps and my network connections are messed with

i was thinking of trying zonealarm (most downloaded softpedia firewall) or not?

 actually ignore, cause i' ll keep the w7 firewall, i just downloaded Currports that shows which ports are used from which app and then allowed all the relevant ports in w7 firewall and teamviewer vpn rdc works now just fine

thx a lot R29k, it appears that currports was all i needed, which ports are used from every app :p

and just a word on windows firewall control. i tried it before i discovered currports and the low filtering still did not allow my teamviewer vpn rdc incoming port

and your' re right!:). these apps are probably only a hassle, even avs' are mostly useless, i don't think anything serious ever went past my firefox addons anyway!
