Nobody will see that name. That only tells about where the file is opened from at that moment. You can check it yourself : Place the file somewhere else & open from there. The new path will be mentioned.
Windows Media Player in 2020 .... when there is VLC/MPC Ditch WMP/Chrome: - Use Brave/Firefox - VLC/MPC/MPCBE All problem solved. All FOSS and free, no proprietary standards are been used and you can check the issue tickets for known problems or submit your own to actually improve the products.
Awesome and cool, but the only browser that seems to stay is MSN IE. Mozilla, Firefox and others - no go.
@LittlePro - The "screenshot steps" do not work with PAINT or SNIPPING TOOL. And that guideline is nothing like either. Shows no steps really. I think Quick Reply is just the attaching process. 1) Paint doesn't except it as a ZIP file. (No Bitmap). 2) The Snipping Tool just snips - that is it.
@LittlePro - Worked out how to use the Snipping Tool with NOTEPAD. Is that what you need screenshots of?
And if so... Save under which: Single File HTML Portable Network Graphic File (PNG) Jpeg Trying: Portable Firefox.
I use VLC and have since Feb 2019. Point is - WMP went down after Google Chrome. After some Windows updates. I already wrote right back that I got another player installed. Always thought it was connected - one after the other.
WMP UPDATE 1) 2 out of the 3 detected something wrong with WMP. 2) Fix WMP Utility successfully installed, but didn't work. 3) Uninstalling and reinstalling WMP?. Been down that track already a few times, Didn't work any of those times at all. Same steps.
1 week later ...... 93 posts ...... and people are still playing post offices . Mini - - - - > 1 - Your computer has problems . Experience says computer problems are mostly caused by the users actions and not malware . 2 - Are the problems you see symptoms or the cause ? There's no point in searching for a needle in a haystack if that needle is only a symptom and not the cause ? 3 - What do you want to do ? Spend another week getting advice that hasnt helped ...... or surf ? First save all the data that you have on the C partition , wipe it and then do a clean install . Then before you go into the net make a C partition copy ....... so that you know that if you get problems in the future you can wipe the C partition and put the clean backup in . I wish you well ...... and send you a telepathic hug
Has to be at least 100 posts... Seems still NO FIX for it. Years ago they had cd disks for full reinstalls, but that is not the case anymore. I think it is inbuilt now. If I do a full reinstall (not 100% sure about it just yet though) before this Feb 13th deadline and only want to save things like Photos and Documents. Not sure what else yet. 1) Is it necessary to do a back up. 2) How long will it take approx? And with all the updates except 4310which took out a number of peoples Windows Default Sounds and Wallpapers. Mine included. My Windows 10 PC tonight has taken about 9 hours to update so far and is still not done - I haven't brought it out close to 7 or 8 months to be updated. So, I'm thinking Windows 7 would have to be up there like that in some way.
