I guess with the new IE9, it is still not possible to move the buttons Home, Favorites, etc ... (and have favorites on the left side as with IE8)?

1st dont use imagex to mount anymore, dism is the tool for you (check out the vids in my sig, there is also a gdism if that helps...I asked for a ldr mode in this tool but it does not work right)

If you want to use burfadel script just mount the image with dism and this is what you edit in the cmd

    Code:
    %z%dism.exe /Image:C:\s2 /Add-Package /PackagePath:"%temp%\cabtemp\qfeldr\update.mum" /PackagePath:"%temp%\cabtemp\qfeldr\update.mum" /PackagePath:"%temp%\cabtemp\qfeldr\update-bf.mum">>install.log

    %z%dism.exe /Image:C:\s2 /Add-Package /PackagePath:"%temp%\cabtemp\qfeldr\update.mum">>install.log
All you basically do is change /Online to /Image:<path_to_mount_folder>, remove /quiet /norestart because its not needed for integration and I add >>install.log to write a log and see if all updates integrated successfully (the same can be done with SoLoR's script)

KB2476490 and KB2478662 are not added into SoLoR's repo as they are outdated? excel-x-none.msp, extracted from Excel2010-kb2523021-fullfile-x64-glb.exe, are outdated as well?

SoLoR I think you made a mistake, instead of deleting KB2446710 you deleted KB2479710 from the loose \x64 dir

I have KB2476490 and KB2478662 in my local storage, they wouldn't be there if SoLoR had them listed at any stage in the 'removed' section. Since the installer lookup files are the kb numbers listed under 'removed' (plus a whole post sp1 not needed update scan from a couple of months ago), and I use my own tool to remove files from my local repository, it seems that they have accidentally been omitted?

KB2478662 is netfx-system update superseeded by KB2497453, so it was never added in the first place, about KB2476490 its wierd, its not applicable on my computer for some reason so it was missed... ill look in to it why i cant install it... and about excel update its all up to date on the repo... that hotfix was released as something else at the end of april already, it has files from mid march inside....

yes i did this for both x64 and x86 :(

My mistake :) I just uninstalled it and added it to the local uninstall list. It was a security update that I must have downloaded seperately and it installed before KB2497453. After installing it, sure enough it wasn't valid for my system :)

In terms of KB2476490, what version of oleaut32.dll do you have installed?

I just wanted to say thanks for doing this!! That damn KB2536275 absolutely refused to install no matter what I did. But using your post, my OCD can go back to sleep for awhile. Thanks again. :worthy:

Well its latest (6.1.7601.21669) the ones that come from update, however update is not on any list of installed updates and if you try to install it says "not applicable" and not "already installed"... My guess is i installed it at some point (or maybe WU did) and something is broken... maybe i need to run System Update Readiness Tool or i should just reformat after 4 months, if i wouldnt be waiting for Office2010 SP1.... So yes KB2476490 should definatly be on the list...

OK guys, can someone PLEASE verify if the new IE9 installs for them or not...?

I can uninstall/reinstall the IE9 original final, but the new IE9 will fail to install. My OS had IE9 integrated into the build, if that info helps. But I can see no reason for the new IE9 failing to install. I've tried several times and keep getting a fail. Tried download several times from several sources, but same error. So could someone please check if they can uninstall IE9 original final and then try to install the new IE9. I'm on x64 OS. Thanks...
