hi micky, had the same problem here in the netherlands after few retry hours later, it work, but still 140kb is slow!
burfadel I do have the same idea, which is to harvest the updated setup.exe and dism.exe which will be copied to my fully updated image. However, ricktendo64 has voiced concern over this matter. I think that there is some risk in using the updated files directly. Sigh, it is getting very troublesome integrating the huh amount of updates. M$, we really need SP2 now.
if also have a Windows6.1-KB2525694-x86.msu with win32k.sys version 6.1.7601.21727 It was offered on 15.06.2011 via Microsoft download Center. I tried the link again today but is says “file not found”
I downloaded 2534664 x64+x86 on 16.06.2011 (witch KB now only can be found in google cache) windows-consolehost_6.1.7601.21728 windows-kernel32_6.1.7601.21728 windows-kernelbase_6.1.7601.21728 minkernelapinamespace_6.1.7601.21728 winsrv_6.1.7601.21728 wow64_6.1.7601.21728
Hallo SlLoR, I’m new here in the forum, but I’m reading this thread since sp1. I first must to say thank you for the fantastic work you and the others are doing. I use it to keep my W7 and W2008R2 isos updated. Due to MS KB update behaviour it’s hard to stay up to date. I like this list of “all updates post SP1” you give on 19.06., for it also contains the W2008R2-only updates I need too. Here is my question: Is it possible to tell me, how to get this list? Or, if not, could you please publish an updated list on your “windows hotfix repository” or here in the forum from time to time? This would be helpful for me to find W2008R2 hotfixes and check it against my update list. I’m also wandering why some of the updates (for example 2541014, 2536276, 2536275) are missing in the list.
You should change the "q=download" to "q=the" or "q=this" this will give you much more of the old-stile “new downloads list” behaviour. I prefer using /de-de/results.aspx?includeen=on&stype=ss_rr&period=10&nr=50&sortCriteria=Date&sortOrder=descending (sorry can't post links)
Sorry i don't explain exactly. 2525694 replaces 2525949 for both x86 and x64. In solors list only the x64 version of 2525694 is available. The latest x86 version of win32k.sys is still 2525949 (6.1.7601.21708) The x86 version of win32k.sys in Windows6.1-KB2525694-x86.msu is 6.1.7601.21727.
yes if it would existed... but i didnt saw x86 version anywhere... even googling for "Windows6.1-KB2525694-x86.msu" does not give any valid download links and if you read KB article it also doesnt mention x86 version of hotfix, so if anyone have it please... share it
Kb2550648 does updated dism.exe, just not the one in install.wim but it works on the one in boot.wim's sources folder BTW I pointed out earlier Kb2550648 supersedes KB2495879 in /Integrate to installation media
