    Me personally I delete that crap from my DVD setup files

    I delete: setup.exe, autorun.inf, \support and \upgrade
    From \sources I delete everything except: boot.wim, install.wim, *.clg and setup.exe (install needs this for some reason)

    I have Windows6.1-KB2525694-x86.msu and Windows6.1-KB2534664-x86.msu; Windows6.1-KB2534664-x64.msu;
    but don't have an public download place. I could sent it by e-mail or place it where you want.

    I think the update were only placed for a limited time on the ms pages.

    you can integrate 2550648 into the iso without error, but it does not update dism.exe
    you can look in the windows\system32 dir an see the version of dism.exe is still 6.1.7600 witch will not update to 6.1.7601
    i think that the problem.

    in the boot.wim file the dism.exe is 6.1.7601 so the update will apply

    @SoLoR

    Just wondering why you don't have KB971891 (NDP40-KB971891.msp) uploaded in the Net Framework updates folder? Its included with the exe of every update, and although looks like it doesn't contain anything its required to install many of the updates successfully... (install it first, and then all the updates apply).

    This is from using the standard Net 4 full installer.

    because its preintegrated in all msis of .net in zip package so if you install from that package you dont need to worry about it.

    Hi
    Shouldn't the recently released KB2478663 be in the Net Framework updates folder?

    Looks like KB2525694 x86 has been pulled. Found several links for it, but they all refer to non-existing pages anymore?

    I noticed there was already a x64 version in the repo. In case they pulled it, what update (if any) was replaced by KB2525694-x86? If not available I'd like to put the 'old' one back in.

    EDIT: in fact, all I can get right now is KB2541119, as I can't find KB2534644-v2 anywhere either...

    So KB2525694-x86 and KB2534644-v2 I can't find anywhere at the moment.

    Hmm yeah... which causes me concern... I also read on two sites people saying they had problems with 2525694, but I can't put any stock in that. Wonder what SoLoR thinks about this.

    EDIT: I read somewhere that KB2525694 is supposed to replace KB2506223... but the latter is still available, but KB2525694 is not anymore. So maybe this means something... It is not only mentioned as ia64 download and as part of the June update iso (naturally still) at the MS Download Center.

    for each and every update there will be people that have problems with it... thats just a fact that needs to be accepted, only thing that matters is if YOU have issue with it. I never ever read about update problems until a point when i would be expiriencing problems on my own. Dont put to much in to a fact that MS pulled it, maybe 5% of people had problems with it and MS decided to pull it (number is just a guess, have no idea what MS considers as sufficant reason to pull certain update).

    Ok thanks SoLoR. Normally I'm not that concerned about one or two updates, but I've been looking for a point to make some good builds for quite a while but at least I was glad to have the flood of updates recently included now. Thanks for your time :cool:

    Windows6.1-KB2544521-x86
    Windows6.1-KB2544893-x86

    Second thing: If I run Update.cmd at "offline"...
    Updates to come at some point messages are not applicable.
    In patch-info.de, then I read the updates for the SP0/RTM are.

    Is that true? This in a post-SP1 pack? :confused:
    I'm confused, I think you have your reasons right?

    Glad I'm looking forward answers.

    Those updates are either superseded (replaced by updates that update the same files to newer versions), and in the case if KB947821-v12, under the 'additions' folder.

    KB947821 isn't an ordinary update. Its a scan and repair tool for the update repository on your computer that checks and resolves known issues. It has just been released to look like an update, in fact you can run it 1000 times if you wanted to and it will still run (as if it were installing).

    Since it isn't an really an update per se, its not under the main x86/x64 folders.

    Update packs generally just combine a whole lot of updates together and release them in a package. There is no point installing an old update if there is an update which includes the same (or more files) as it, at newer versions, which also include the fixes from the previous version. Installing the old one first and the new after will just mean more disk space wasted, and installing the old one after the new in most cases will tell you it isn't applicable. Updates may contain different version streams of the same file known as the GDR (limited fixes/changes) and LDR (complete lot of changes). Installing an older update may force the newer update to change from the GDR codepath to the LDR codepath, however you can also force the LDR codepath making the old updates completely unnecessary!

    And yes, it is a post-SP1 only pack! If you don't want to install SP1 for some reason (who knows what?!!!), then you definitely wouldn't want to install these updates since these are all available non-superseded updates, not just those that are under general distribution (Windowsupdate etc).

    In other words, having a complete pack for pre-SP1 is completely pointless!
