Thats correct, most updates are language neutral. Office 2010 updates are also language neutral unless it specifies a language in the msp filename (ie, 'nl' instead of 'none').
I installed Office 2010 with just Word, Excel and PowerPoint why I can install the updates for Outlook, Access, etc...? thank PS: I have to take the updates in x64-postSP1 or x64-SP? (If SP1 already installed)
Hi Trinket, when I run your installer, I get a corrupted installer error everytime I try to install. MS.NET4.Client_x64-x86_Aug30-2011.exe CRC32: A25F22BD MD5: 5A5EB69BC5C545082F5B463A3EB2167C SHA-1: 60434C77E92CA771DF9F95AB067644A59075FAEA
Ran fine for me. Code: CRC-32: a25f22bd MD4: 160bb552eca8d29cfe82432ccfad344d MD5: 5a5eb69bc5c545082f5b463a3eb2167c SHA-1: 60434c77e92ca771df9f95ab067644a59075faea
Thanks for looking, Tomorrow. It's strange because I can extract the archive that the .exe is in, and winrar does not complain about anything, its just when I run the installer I get the same error from the .msi every time... Hmmm
If the transactional metadata is corrupt on your drive, that can cause issues. Try, from an elevated command prompt, typing: Code: fsutil resource setautoreset true c:\ and do the same for the reset of the NTFS drive letters (might as well). Reboot, and try again. If you are still having issues, try the following from an elevated command prompt: Code: sfc /scannow net stop winmgmt winmgmt /resetrepository winmgmt /resyncperf lodctr /r and again, reboot, retry
Probably a mistake but still, with Office you can pretty much go by the principle, if it installs, install it! (as long as its the latest versions, for the right platform etc)
@burfadel Sure, no problem. Thanks for the explanation. In my opinion, I just do not want install some seemingly unrelevant updates that I may not utilize. Similar to bapt, I only use Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
