Well... KB2600100 is KB2608565 for SP1... so not that weird. Only weird thing is that this 2 hotfixes are not combined as one
I do not understand this darn system readiness tool. I have the kb947821.msu (lastest v.14) slipstreamed (rt seven lite) with all the updates in the hotfix repository. everything works correctly (except I still cant get a universal win 7 dvd created, only the initial version rt seven asks for). but after installation of win 7 I go to windows updates and the readiness tool is on the list to be installed. I understand that its really not an update but a tool that needs?? to be run, but on my system it took 30 minutes and I have a 6 core amd, 8gb ram etc. Is there anyway to get this update installed and run by slipstreaming. if not then why even include it in the repository and waste dvd space in the slipstream. regards...
kb947821 cannot be integrated, if you extract it you will notice the cab is tiny (this is the file that is integrated) BTW you dont need it on a fresh install
SoLoR, so does KB2600100 truly supersede KB2608565? I wasn't sure from what you said, and it doesn't show you updated the hotfix list yet.
so microsoft is bringing 15 updates september 13 and 5 are critical? and among those update are for office
Even if there are updates in the monthly release, some of them may be older than the updates we already have!...
thanks for reply, but I'm still confused. I am making a slipstreamed win 7 sp1 dvd with all the updates in the hotfix repository. When I install Win 7 on a new system the update readiness tool (there's approx 9 updates to be installed on first boot) is always 1 of them whether or not I include the readiness .msu in the slipstream. The purpose of the slipstream is to of course quicken the installation process, which it does, but the readiness update can take 30 min to over an hour depending on the system. short of hiding the update is there any other recourse??? regards...
