"new superseded updates" means this updates are superseded at the time of their release. In other words: there is no reason to install updates that are superseded. normally this happens, if ms releases several updates of one component. Only the highest version should be installed then.

@SoLoR I have a small request. First let me give you an explanation for why I'm asking, and this conclusion of Anandtech's review is the best one. To put it short, the new architecture of the latest AMD FX processor works beter in windows 8, and also there are speculations about an update for windows 7 that fixes this. Anandtech made a versus between windows 7 and 8 and discovered that there are some improvemets (2 to 10 %). So, if you (or anyone else) encounter a post-SP1 windows 7 update for AMD processors (Bulldozer / AVX especially), please mention it in this thread. KB2568088 is the only I know about so far (x64 only). Thanks.
If an update comes out for it, it will be posted Update KB2568088 has nothing to do with the issue regarding the thread scheduling. Also there is a lot of rumours regarding future bios updates on supporting boards, registry patches, software patches, and CPU drivers (yes, the CPU's do actually have a device driver, check out device manager), however these are just that, rumours. These rumours also suggest the performance benefit could be anywhere between 40 and 70 percent in total, which would be good if it were true. Apparently Windows 8 pre-beta's are showing up to 10 percent benefit (supposedly), although even then it apparently still is far from optimal and is something being worked on. Any bios updates won't be a solution, although if there are performance related bios updates coming it will obviously be of benefit. Not sure how a registry patch could improve performance that much, if it does exist it wouldn't be as beneficial as a software update. If there is a CPU driver update it again won't be the solution, but could be beneficial in terms of power management, turbo core management, etc.
Its the full list of Post SP1 Windows 7 and Server 2008 R2 updates, including all those that are superseded (superseded updates are updates that have been replaced by newer updates that update the same files to newer version). I requested the list so I can add the newer superseded updates to to lists used for my old update remover. There are many updates that SoLoR does not add to the repository. Even if a 'new' update is posted on the Microsoft support site, it may update the same files to older versions than an existing update, making it unnecessary. By adding these updates to the older update remover, those new to the repository can remove those old updates as well as those directly listed in SoLoR's info.
i will... you know whats the problem of this scan... when pages errors out with "currently unavailable" and similar it might miss some of the updates.... need to improve download script somehow... Main issue is i would already start updating, but its tuesday, so many series to watch
List suppose to be updated now. If someone finds something it should be there and its not or vice versa let me know... Ill update package & .net 4.0 later today. edit: currently hotfix KB2615701 is not added.
Beware of this KB2615701 or this KB2615128 !!! After these hotfix I cannot login anymore :/ system reinstalled last night
hm... i can use safe mode with this hotfix installed... maybe some other hotfix fixes it? edit: i dont even have ldm.exe anywhere in my windows folder.... edit2: ups its lsm.exe in anycase hotfix does work for me... i however use autologin and admin account only...
Update KB2615701 is definitely faulty. This has been confirmed by Komm on a fresh install! I made a mistake with the file name, its lsm.exe not ldm.exe! Regardless of my mistake with the filename, DO NOT INSTALL otherwise you may have to end up having fun with the repair console. If for some reason it works for you, you are very lucky! It doesn't seem to be a setting issue, since it has failed even on a cleanly installed system.
