How does one go about justifying the reliability of the senses? If you appeal to any knowledge gained by the senses you’re begging the question. If you assert the truth of the reliability of the senses, but can not justify or give evidence for it… guess what? Faith;)

    Experiencing truth / reality

Our brain tells us what we feel, what we see, what we smell, all of it... Everything that we experience e.g (experiencing a pen or the existence of a computer infront of me where I'm writing my post in the MDL forums, is still an experience) is my brain's interpretation of what my senses are relying to me. Color means nothing to those who cannot see, texture means nothing to those who cannot feel or musics means nothing to those who can't hear . (And never saw, never hear or never felt)

I'm not saying that the pen or the computer or the music is just a figment of my imagination. I'm saying that how I see/experience it is a construct of my mind based upon the information it receives.

We don't see with our eyes, but we "see" with our brain, all that our eyes do is collect the light then the rest is done by the brain .

it takes a long time to integrate updates 'online' when installing to many machines and so ... we it's preferred to integrate updates to offline images
it takes a long time to integrate updates to an offline image, so my question is... is it actually possible to remove a superseeded updates in an offline image?

Yes, you can do it using Dism.exe > Remove Packaged.

    @Solor

Is the Office 2010 Repository updated...

    *edit*

Just a quick question: To update Office 2010, all I have todo is throw the Office2010 SP1 package and post SP1 package in the update folder, right?

Do we have a change log for Office 2010, similar to the one on First page of Windows 7?

No, but it would be useful. Any volunteers? ;)

    .NET doesn't have one either.

That would actually be much easier than Windows 7, all you would need to do is list the files that have been updated.

I shall have a go at it. Of course, correct me if I have stated any wrong item. The format style of the changelog solely belongs to SoLoR. :D Thanks to oinkers for KB suggestion.

Changelog of Microsoft Office 2010 SP1 Hotfixes:

    Updated: 17.11.2011
    - Replaced: csi-x-none.msp (KB2553455)

    Updated: 08.11.2011
    - Replaced: mso-x-none.msp (KB2596501), msointl-xx-xx.msp (KB2553310), msores-x-none.msp (KB2553181), onenote-x-none.msp (KB2596589), onenoteintl-xx-xx.msp (KB2553290), outlfltr-x-none.msp (KB982726)

    -xx-xx.msp: represents all languages.

Of course, if you have downloaded postSP1-8.11.2011.7z Office hotfixes, just charge csi-x-none.msp.

    Very nice, thank you akf!

May I make a suggestion? Could the source KB #'s be included next to the filenames for future updates? For example, the latest csi-x-none.msp is extracted from KB2553455. Something like:

    Updated: 17.11.2011
    - Replaced: csi-x-none.msp (KB2553455)

    Updated: 08.11.2011
    - Replaced: mso-x-none.msp (KB2596501), msointl-xx-xx.msp (KB2553310), msores-x-none.msp (KB2553181), onenote-x-none.msp (KB2596589), onenoteintl-xx-xx.msp (KB2553290), outlfltr-x-none.msp (KB982726)

This suggestion would be for updates as they're added in the future, since the KB #'s are not currently tracked (though I could provide them, if desired).

With the KB #'s listed, it'll be easier to find and uninstall superseded updates. Plus, those who'd like to use the full installer .exe's will be able to look them up easily with the KB #'s.

Thanks again akf for stepping up and helping us all here.

Thanks, oinkers. Addition of KB numbers will definitely enhance the usefulness of the changelog.

Note that I can only update the changelog, after SoLoR has updated the list of Microsoft Office 2010 SP1 Hotfixes. This is to ensure the accuracy of the changelog, as we regard SoLoR's list to be most accurate.

Of course, if anyone else, like ricktendo64, burfadel, oinkers, can correctly identify the superseded hotfixes that should be replaced, you are welcome to post the changelog yourself. It is not necessary for me alone to compose the changelog. ;)

akf, sounds good. Here's the complete list of Office updates currently in the repo along with their KB #'s. Tracking with their KB #'s will make it easier to identify exactly which ones are in there and to know which have been superseded as new ones are added. Thanks again for your help.

It would be nice if we could pin this topic and put it on first page something for easier access and for everyone to be noticed and keep it updated...
