Never mind. It was a hard work this time and I always check the kb# posted to see, if I already got them. So it was double work. I also updated my KUC Checker.
Yes, they are updates that weren't previously available and supersede older updates. But SoLoR has final approval so you can wait for him to upload to the repo.
Nice, so 976042-v2 fully supersedes 2615847, which previously partially superseded 2472264. I missed that overlap earlier. Looks good to me. Thanks for the rapid update!
@ burfadel: Visual C++ Runtime Installer V6: If I run it directly by double clicking, it looks like it installs everything but nothing gets installed. If I right-click the Visual C++ Runtime Installer.cmd and select "Run as administrator" I get an error message saying: "One or more of the installers is missing. Please do not delete any of the folders! A redownload of this installer will be required." Edit: Why doesn't that work? Is there a way to make it work by just right-clicking "Run as administrator"? That would be best. But, if I go to an elevated command prompt and run it, it works great! In the readme.txt, maybe it could be mentioned that this needs to be run from an elevated Administrator command prompt. So if another program installs some other version of C++, I should just be able to run this script and the older C++ entries will be removed and the Programs and Features will stay clean. I had so many entries for different versions of C++! This really helps! Also, what about Visual J#: w ww.microsoft.com/download/en/details.aspx?displaylang=en&id=4712 Should that be included in the package? Actually - Visual J# isn't supported anymore. Adds tons to the registry...
@SoLoR There is a problem with KB2592546 apparently - the patch that improves Bulldozer performance. Quote from vr-zone.com: Maybe it won't be a bad idea to move it to the LDR folder, just for now @shon3i Eagerly awaiting your update for that great Visual C++ 2005 - 2010 SP1 AIO Redist addon back at ryanvm @anyone How can I install to an offline image those updated files/cabs for windows update? I mean KB2607070... Thanks in advance.
Well it didnt for me... i didnt check it with VirtualPC installed... hm problem is that in this case i should add some x86 only update that was released on patch tuesday with OS-Kernel update... it just becomes messy
I replaced the "Visual C++ Redist Installer.cmd" with the new one and tried to run it as administrator directly (right-click "Run as administrator). I still get the same error: "One or more of the installers is missing..." I'm doing this in a fresh install of Windows 7 Pro SP1 x64 in VMware. I don't know why it would work in an Adminstrator command prompt but it doesn't work when the .cmd is run as administrator directly. Maybe it doesn't know which directory it is being run from when using "Run as administrator"?? I also tried turning off UAC completely and it acts the same. It's just a minor inconvenience but strange.
I've been running it since it was released yesterday with no problems. I wonder if the problems only happen with a Bulldozer CPU (which I don't have).. Thanks for the heads-up on that, btw.
