@SoLoR One more question: KB2566191 (which you included as LDR only) seems (for my novice eye) to be also in the GDR branch - or am I mistaken?
you are not... i guess i missed something here as well... ill remove it... if someone knows for some other LDDMCore hotfix that is LDR only, tell me and ill add it instead of this. edit: nvm i found it
@burfadel, Just curious what system tweaks are applied in the "Tools menu" of the Installer for Windows? Disable WMI logging and events? If I run wmimgmt.msc and on WMI Control right-click properties, there doesn't seem to be a "Logging" tab. So I don't think Windows 7 Pro has WMI logs... or is this incorrect? What does "Install main tweaks" do? Thanks Also,
@burfadel To add to orbidia's post, could you please state the registry tweaks in your script, as in what do they tweak? I strongly believe that they are effective tweaks, otherwise you would not have insert them there. It would be helpful if you could state what they modify. Thank you very much.
Yes that is normal. Install the versions manually and you get the same thing: 2005 SP1 Redist 32-bit 8.0.61001 2011-06-13 (KB2538242) 2005 SP1 Redist 64-bit 8.0.61000 2011-06-13 (KB2538242)
I was thinking the 32-bit 61000 --> 61001 was possibly a very minor bugfix that didn't affect x64. This is of course a competely guess, I'm just going by what the numbers suggest. Also since uploading, mediafire shows I have no downloads on Old Update Remover W7 SP1 17-Dec-11.7z and Visual C++ Redist Installer V6.7z and 1 on Installer For Windows Updates V22test2.7z. I'm guessing thats a mediafire error, not that I'd be surprised that there are few downloads, but because its difficult for people to comment on the runtime installer and windows installer test if nobody had actually downloaded it! Talking about other minor glitches, there is another one involving the c++ runtimes. The registry entries for 2010 runtimes are: Code: Microsoft Visual C++ 2010 x86 Redistributable Microsoft Visual C++ 2010 x64 Redistributable You may not notice it, but there are two spaces between 2010 and the x86/x64, and not just one as you would expect! Another oversight? Also, if just placed here like: Microsoft Visual C++ 2010 x86 Redistributable Microsoft Visual C++ 2010 x64 Redistributable This forum removes the double space when viewing this post, but when going back to edit it, the double spaces show again! I guess its an autocorrect feature so before I edited this post and pointed that out, my claim of double spacing may not have seemed valid!... Okay, for the tweaks... I removed the direct WMI tweaks as its true they are no longer valid. Using them won't hurt, just that they would have no effect. I also removed a bunch of other tweak settings that are of little benefit. There are some network tweaks, some of them would be already set but are there just in case they aren't There are various other tweaks, such as the NTFSMemoryUsage tweakl (which may improve performance on NTFS drives in certain circumstances), the typical AdditionalDelayedWorkerThreads/AdditionalCriticalWorkerThreads tweaks, the MaximumTransferLengh tweak for USB which was added with one of the updates a few months ago (supposedly improves transfer performance on USB), and some tweaks for x64 windows, like pagedpoolsize, GDI and user process handle limts etc.

It's not a rumour anymore... KB2592546 is faulty. The quote is from KB2592546 2.0 new webpage. So... please SoLoR, move it to the LDR folder for now, until Microsoft figures it out. Another quote from Anandtech...
for me 2591500 and 2525835 are missing 2525835: Microsoft-Hyper-V-Common-Drivers-Package It is a driver update for win7 x64, if it is running in a hyper-v vm. I first thought it was a server/RSAT update. The KB article only leads to W2008R2 server, also. However, when I saw, that it also applies to Windows 7 embedded, with no additions installed, I decided to change the state from Server/RSAT to normal.
2592546 for those, who do not want to install the faulty code update 2592546 use 2532445 for x64 or 2590443 for x86 the update is also removed @ MS
