So basically, Microsoft are saying you have to install both updates, and not just either of them... so, why make them separate updates to begin with? why not include both updates in a single update?!
Thanks I was thinking after I posted that 'SmartInstall' probably would have been a better name than 'Spacesaver'. I changed it locally, what do people think?! (the name change serves no function other than possibly sounding better)
After "SpaceSaver" feature and reboot, Windows offers to install some old updates... Something is wrong
Which updates are those? I might have missed some where the GDR version is required also to satisfy Windowsupdate. If I know what updates they are this is easily resolved KB2556532 and KB2534366 are no longer in the repository as they have been superseded. However, since they are required to satisfy Windowsupdate they may be showing in Windowsupdate. Likewise, there may be others there too that aren't in the repository. List them anyway so I can check! Any showing for NET framework 4 are no as a result of the installer, since NET framework 4 uses a different update system. If you used Ricktendo64's NET framework 4 installer (the latest one) definitely still list them though, since it may be possible to set it up so they won't show.

I'm still searching for: 2545936; 2615570; 2639308x64; 2640309; 2641739; 2647409x64
about windows-win32k version 6.1.7601.21881 2617202; 2619041 and 2645611 all have the same version it's better to take a LDR only version and 2645611 has the highest KB# so I think the best resolution is to take KB2645611-v2
Hi Is DISM the easiest way to integrate Solor's hotfix repository into an offline WIM image? Solor's update.cmd and Burfadel's windows update installer V23 seem geared at updating the active system and not an offline wim. I would like to have an up-to-date install.wim whenever I rebuild my system. Would changing the update cmds to use dism /image instead of dism /online work? With dism, it takes about an hour and 15 minutes to add all of Solor's updates to a fresh image. I would like to reduce the time needed to do this if possible. Also, is it recommended to integrate root only updates or should I also include the ldr placeholder updates too? Al
I asked the same question a year ago, and never got an answer. I'ts a shame that nobody has actually documented the ins and outs of using the different types of hotfixes, and the difference between the 2 available installation scripts. As well as the best way of integrating these hotfixes with offline and online images. I wondered of it is best to take every KBxxxxxx file, and put it in to one big directory, and let Burfadels script work from that, but I don't know if thats the right way or not.
