Yes you can with these updates, I just meant in the previous post that the directory listing is typically alphabetical, so thats how they are installed. Newer updates generally have a high kb number, but just because the update is newer doesn't mean the kb article is higher than another update.
It looks like its trying to load the updates from the wrong folder (I know it shouldn't)! Have you tried loading update.cmd from the command prompt?
run as administrator? No idea why you get file not found error... list gets populated with normal dir *.msu command...
is the x64.rar have all the updates that have been released since 7 went RTM? well i mean the dupe onees you would delete
95% that never, because those updates are for 7601 builds, and Zukona does not want to make them public.
Like SoLoR said, "this is more or less for people that want to keep updates current and know what they are downloading", and "This SHOULDNT be for general usage, because like half of them is not even avilable upon request on MS hotfix download center..." So what that means is that these collections of updates include the updates you would get through MS updates download center, but have additional updates that address newer issues and sometimes a fix goes through several stages before it ends up as a download on MS download center -- if at all. So in a way you would be *more* up to date using these hotfix collections provided by SoLoR, but they also contain quite a number of updates/hotfixes that have not (yet) been released officially by MS and some of them may not ever be available but could be incorporated in ensuing hotfixes.
they are not updates for beta SP, they are probably SP2 updates that they dont intend to fix with SP1 and will apply to RTM SP1.
When do you guys think SP1 willl be out officially? I heard some talk about late autumn even, others think it's going to be soon. What do you think?
I heard actually sometime the summer unless it was pushed back for whatever reason. BTW How is that project coming that was to try to get the win7 alpha boot screen?
My plan was to post/put some glue on this thread every now and then, as to make it more sticky. So, agreed!
