Ah ok! do you know offhand what updates installed with option 2 in 23c? If you run the installer again, do those same 3 updates install? I changed (hopefully improved! option 2 in v24)

If you are running x64, none of the x86 updates will install :)

I will check and see if there's a mistake regarding x86 though...

Can do a favour? uninstall kb2660075 and 2657025, restart, and then run installer 24c over them with install option 2 and see if they install?
(Control panel --> Programs --> Programs and Features --> Installed Updates)

I can't see any reason why it should work with v23c and not v24c. It could be nothing, but both of those updates are related to Windows Time handling.

Thats ok! I rewrote the install option 2 script code with v24, so I'd trust that more over v23c etc. The were a few harmless anomalous things like you encountered with the older option 2 script code, just things which were more of annoyance than anything.

@burfadel Use your script to install SoLoR's pack on x86 Windows 7 SP1 and you will see that it only extract the updates but doesn't install them.

I had a look over the script and can't see any reason why it should work on x64 and not on x86...

Weeeellll, not really; all of a sudden v.24c, or anything after v.23, just extracts all the cabs to %Temp% and quits. Win7Ultimate x64. I upgraded to socket 2011 and now only v.23 will do it all; same OS, same install-nothing changed at that end. Absolutely no clue why.
