Look at KUC's command file and you will see the option to update offline=integrate into an image; just remark online out and clear the remark from offline, type in the correct directories and Bob's your uncle. Also in 23c days Burf's cmd could be modified to integrate all LDR/GDR into an image-I use it all the time for myself-Burf supplied the text and line to change, but, it is Burf's work and he has to give permission to make it available. The reorg of McRip's folders will take a few days, until then it remains as is.
It can be changed for personal use only, as long as it isn't redistributed or with a modified author (like I pointed out earlier). BTW both the uninstaller and the installer had been removed from that site. Redistribution was fine, changing the author name and taking credit for them wasn't I will one day get around to the integration feature... there's another simple feature I'm thinking of adding (won't say just yet), so by then I should have run out of things to change so I'll have to do the integration, right?! lol
hotfix.cesidian.info Edit: Managed to get in finally and download the X64 RAR File. its huge! 905Mb! I've downloaded the superceed update uninstaller. So going to run that first, then crack on with the rar file! Never realised how many superceeded updates i have! Currently on 86!
I take it you mean 'Old Update Remover W7 SP1 29-Feb-2012 V2 KUC'? (note the 'V2', since I had to include to uninstall the old KB2506143). If you've never used it before (or haven't in a while), you will have a significant amount! since installing a new update leaves the old update and files in place but not active. Remember to restart before installing the new batch of updates. Also replace the KB2506143 in the rar with the one I linked a few posts back, since its newer. Once you do that, to install the new updates that haven't been installed, you can use option 2 in my installer. Option 3 can be beneficial if you have a lot more than 50 to install, and you have UAC disabled.
Yeah well when i reinstalled Windows whenever it was, ive basically just kept checking Solars list and installing as and when needed. Never thought of doing this before tbh! Im up to 140 now! haha Yeah, will grab that file and replace it. What is option 2?
Option 2 allows you to just install updates that haven't already been installed, its much quicker than processing/reprocessing 300+ updates
So, i copy the cmd file into the folder with the new updates and press option 2? (Run the System File Check Utility) I was just going to use the Installer For Windows Updates V24d Edit: Im guessing you meant use the Installer for Windows Updates 24d and then use option 2 within that! Only process updates that havent been installed
Sorry I was meaning option 2 in 'Installer For Windows Updates V24d' I should have explained it better than just saying 'my installer' I should have said:
So far, I've only looked at the number of updates added (seems correct), but just wanted to thank you for undertaking such a massive update!
I have one x86 and one x64 system. I uninstall all updates that are marked by KUC as needed to satisfy windows update. Then i lock what windows updates are coming up. I first try to add the LDR version of a superseded update to see if windows is satified now (There is only 1 LDR to keep at the moment). If not i try the GDR version. Some updates u install may also popup others. So the first list windows update shows is not ever the right one. I could be that the updates that are needed are different on different computers, due to other updates that have been installed before, even if they are removed already. If there is someone that would like to do this work for me I would be glad.
