@McRip I notice in your .net4 updates you have my KB2468871 Stub but you should have the original MSP instead. You need the original KB2468871 because it updates files, the only reason the Stub is needed is when you integrate the original KB2468871 it does not add the registry entries to satisfy WU (it checks the registry for what the MSP install would leave behind,) so what my MSP does is to ONLY add the registry entries but not update any files (which are already up to date because you integrated the original KB2468871) You are missing out on these updated files Code: aspnet_compiler_exe_amd64 aspnet_compiler_exe_x86 microsoft.data.entity.build.tasks.dll_amd64 microsoft.data.entity.build.tasks.dll_x86 system.data.entity.design.dll_amd64 system.data.entity.design.dll_x86 System.ServiceModel.Web.dll.amd64 System.ServiceModel.Web.dll.x86 wpfgfx_amd64.dll wpfgfx_x86.dll So if you install the non-updated .net4 installer and apply the MSP's later its better to use the original KB2468871 MSP, because it updates files as well as adds the registry entries to satisfy WU
SoLoR, with the Tuesday patch releases you missed KB2647753-v2 and KB2608658. KB2647753-v2 is just an update that was pushed to the download site, it has printer spool updates. KB2608658 is a Server 2008 R2 update, so is only valid on x64 systems. It contains two components, sis-filter which is Server 2008 R2 specific, and sisbckup.dll which is part of Windows 7, and is updated with this update (the sis-filter component isn't installed with this update on Windows 7). EDIT: oops, I see Pointzero pointed out both of these. They were officially released with patch Tuesday updates (as non-security updates)
That is expected. The updates are installled and work fine, but the update check checks for the GDR version to satisfy Windowsupdate, even if the LDR version is installed and working properly. I therefore have a Smartupdate bypass list in the installer, I'll add those updates now and upload shortly. The upload will include the final fix for the option 3 autoreboot function too Thanks for the testing!
*Updated to v25a* Installer for Windows Updates V25a ------------------------------------------------------- Uploaded v25a of the installer. Changes (v24f): - Support for March Windowsupdate 'satisfaction' (that is, also installing the GDR versions of particular updates just so they don't show on Windowsupdate) - Fix of cab install option 3 (autoreboot) - Added additional UAC check for autoreboot function - Improved 'presentation' of initial extraction of the updates for install option 2 and 3. Changes (v25): - Added an update applicability/applyability check with a removal option Changes (v25a): - Fixed the autoreboot feature. Completely replaced the part that was causing issues (it should have worked, but was still apparently being temperamental) and used different commands. NOTE: Reuploaded v25a, please download again (small fix) Download: And of course, the 14 March superseded update uninstaller:
Uploaded all these updates on the server but KB2662672 and KB2666703. But I don't know yet which ones to remove.
There may be more updates yet, and some of those could supersede the updates already uploaded, it just depends on how many are actually applicable.
Thats because I uploaded v25 and therefore deleted the v24f links Do you mean the ones linked to by Pointzero? I haven't done those yet because there are possibly more to come, and the list relies on people to be up to date with those updates linked to by Pointzero. This is why the list is based off SoLoR's list, because its a defined list that people can use to know their update state. I can add the known definite superseded updates so far and upload that separately if you would like?
