Ricktendo, do you need to update your NET4 Hotfix List to list KB2688026 at WinCert? It shows on the Changelog List but not the Hotfix List.
Would somebody please upload KB2688026 if he or she has it; it is contact M$ support only-no download request link. Thanks
RickSteele, have you ever found another way around this sysprep issue and offline integration of updates? I also ran into this problem where quite a good number of updates did not integrate due to pending updates. I also read somewhere that Ricktendo also uses sysprep to install non-integrable updates, so I wonder what his take on this issue is as well. Thanks
No, unfortunately I have not; very, very annoying to say the least. SoLoR ran into this as well a while back with one of his sysprepped images. Now, I only have the basics installed in sysprep-non-integrable updates, all the group policy edits, default profile, some explorer reg tweaks and notepad2 as default notepad-items that never change. I use first logon cmd and subsequent post install cmd files to create directories, copy personal files (documents/contacts etc.), install runtimes, Office 14 and core apps. I've been using the same sysprepped image for over 6 months now and just integrate the latest repo' when ready to fresh install.
Well doesn't that beat all; just tried it again after reading your post and it works for me now too. I mean, I tried that little workaround three times before posting, all with the same results. I'm being picked on by M$!
McRip's server updated to April 10, both uncompressed x86/x64 and DotNET 4 updates (in uncompressed runtimes) as listed in M$ update and in the forum. The Update Changelog.txt (not the excel file-when SoLoR updates it I will) and the DotNET 4 txt file listings are also current. The compressed runtimes are being uploaded now-a few hours....
I managed to get the updates integrated into the image. I have formatted my PC and installed it. Juts one issue. Windows update showed me IE9 to install which I did. It then rebooted etc and IE9 was installed. Yet, when I check windows update, its telling me to download and install IE9 Any solutions?
happenes to me too. I integrated the new fresh IE9 installer from the tuesday updates and windows update shows IE 9 for install... havent found sulution yet.. maybe integrate previous version of IE9 and on top of it the latest cumulative update ?
Wonder if uninstalling IE9, and then installing latest would work. Maybe try it soon. Im guessing though, WU wont push IE9 updates as it doesn't think i have it installed?!
It worked with the previous IE9 installer, which is still in SoLoR“s repo. If you integrate that one and also integrate latest cumulative update, it should work. Also uninstalling and installing latest full installer should work too.
