When I integrated updates into an image the other day (including 2416007), I got that "Windows.old" folder show up again, as with that other update a while ago that ended up being taken off the list... maybe SoloR can shed some light on this? I also have 362 updates in my folder, but only 361 show up as installed after OS install... but I couldn't figure out which didn't install. So maybe it's doing that thing again where it cuts off all updated that come 'after' it... I think I need coffee
Look this was wild guess anyway... but this type of error usualy comes if you overclock computer too much or have bad memory modules... they can be also numerous other things, like bad driver, bad system files etc etc... only way to fix this as fast as possible is clean format and reduce number of things you have installed... and then if error is still there then you can look if hardware is faulty... but noone will be able to fix this types of error over internet, because there simply isnt one universal solution.
No idea... i didnt do intergrated DVD for 2 months at least and back then everything was fine for me... im more or less waiting for SP1 anyway, since it should be out "soon"(tm).
OK. When do you think SP1 will be out then? Last time I checked I thought it was April 2011, but I guess from what you're saying that it's going to be soon?
most probably windows 7 sp1 will be compiled and signed off internally by the end of this year or january 2011 to internal testers! but will go public rtm in april maybe! Let's hope we get an internal leak soon !!
I think MS aims to RTM SP1 this year. So ye if this is true, you can expect it before Christmas, in US nothing gets EVER released between Christmas - New Year holiday season, unless its something that will sell in shopping malls.
That makes sense, having SP1 RTM out before Christmas would be monetarily beneficial to Microsoft one would think. If this is true though, it would have to be today, tomorrow or Thursday at the latest...
Hi SoLoR, I just checked my collection of updates (keeping them up to date via your changes list) and I had 2 more updates in my folder than you have in your new pack for x86. The 2 extra ones I have are: KB917607 KB958488 I can find them in the description below, but I can't find them mentioned as obsolete/superseded/deleted. Please advise. Thanks
KB958488 is there... you just dont see it obviously... KB917607 is inside additions, since its not hotfix but winhlp addon.
Sorry, I stand corrected For some reason the name of KB958488 I already had had an extended name (with ".6001..." in the title). Further, I forgot the Help update KB917607 was indeed not from the main updates folder... Thanks.
