    Fantastic work, Mr. komm!!! :)

    @McRip

Thank you very much for keeping SoLoR's place while his gone (with the help of komm, of course). I'll be ecstatic if you can update your x86/x64 archives soon (aka tommorow hopefully :D ) after the update list is final.

Hey komm me again with another request, you think its possible to add feature to KUC where it detects that you have a offline image mounted from the registry and it can also get the path to folder and offers you the two scanning options: offline or online

    Code:
    Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00

    [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\WIMMount\Mounted Images\1af7426d-90a7-4e77-943b-415c68119bd7]
    "Mount Path"="C:\\mount"
    Hope you like the idea

To me it's not a good idea. Because Kuc has everyting you need of updates for Server R2.
Besides you can't imagine how much work is going on behind the scenes.
Nevertheless this suggestion is a good one.

I hope SP2 will come pretty soon.

Will upload it. But it will take about 6 hours. So be patient.

Next 7z will be next month.

Alright thx for your answer,I was not aware of Komm specific repository for 2008 R2 updates untill yesterday so now I have a better solution.

I know how much work it takes i've been doing my own update pack untill I found this forum. You guys are really making my life easier thank you again!

    Hi,

I would like to integrate these updates to my Win7 DVD, however I am confused in which updates can I include, and what not to include in the integration.

What do the folders 'Integrate to installation media' and 'Not integratable to Offline image' actually mean? Can someone please explain?

What about the other folders? Can I integrate them to my image?

    Thanks!

Keep that in mind. Sounds pretty nice.
For the moment, you could create different shortcuts for the different folders you use.

A check if an image is mounted is a very good idea.

Do you know if an attached vhd also set's a value in that key?
BTW the quickest way to update an vm is shut it down, use diskpart to attach, update it offline (here not the DVD)
    and restart.

    ----------------------
    Added:
Just took a look on that key.
Unfortunatedly the clsid is differrent for each mounted wim | computer.

so i need a routine that gets all subkeys of:
    HKLM\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\WIMMount\Mounted Images\

if somebody could write it or give me a link please post.

"Not integratable to Offlien image" or "Do not integrate" just say what it means.
Keep the fingers off this updates, if you what to make a DVD with updates integrates.
You should make a separate folder for this updates on the dvd to use ONLINE after os installation.

"Integrate to installation media" or just DVD updates are updates, that need special actions to be integrated.
most of them you should integrated to the BOOT.WIM image 2
some need to be manually extracted and copied.
For each read the corresponding KB articles.
You can leave this updates too. They will not affect the update state of your system after installation.
I will write a small advice about using KUC for updating a DVD image, it will be released with the next KUC.

McRip... I'm a bit of a lurker here because I am still learning and experimenting with all of these AMAZING resources but I have a question... is your "McRip Windows 7 Update Pack Pre SP2" a compilation of various updates that is meant to be run on a live system? All of my work has been specifically with offline images so far and I had been using SoLoR's work with Win ToolKit but in his absence I am trying others... BIG THANKS for your work!!!

Burfadel & Komm... I haven't even't gotten to your stuff yet but I'm working on it
