@McRip Just installed on a live system an x64 7 ultimate image with all the updates from today's repo (your server), and to satisfy WU I still needed KB2644615 and KB2679255. So please add them in that satisfy WU folder and also the ''old WU friend'' KB2556532 (at least for x86, and remove it from the main folder).
2644615 is needed for x64 and x86 2679255 is needed for x64 and x86 2556532x86 should not be needed, if 2679255; 2633171 are installed.
Code: 2698707"6.1.1.0""Installed""Update"5/23/2012 3:03 PM"BF_2698707"" ""Windows6.1-KB2698707-x86.msu"" """" ""OK/INFO""You may also have to run MicrosoftFixit50861.msi or MicrosoftFixit50870.msi! """ Correction komm: you DONT have to run the fixit msi, that was put there to fix the problem temporarily until the hotfix was released...now that the hotfix is out the msi is obsolete Edit: I just read the kb article and I may be wrong
so if I understand it right, 2679255 and 2633171 should also be in the satisfy wu folder instead of 2556532 for both x86 and x64? Also, integrated 2698707 (Morocco DST Update) ONLY in a windows 7 ultimate x64 image, without any other .msi fix, and after installation on a live system wu didn't complain.
2698707 is not needed as GDR version and will not pop up if the LDR version is installed. I could say following : If you satisfy KUC (0 to add; 0 to remove), in most cases also WU is satisfyed. KUC WU I'm not sure if the .msi are needed. They were in the KB before the update came out. So maybe they are not needed any more. Nevertheless the fixes don't pop up in WU. Also if you don't want to go to maroc in the special time, or live their, or want to see what time it is there, you don't need this fixes.
True true, I was satisfying KUC last night (after fresh Win install), and when I was done, WU was satisfied too
I included kb2679255v2(GDR), 2547666(GDR) & kb2698707 but not kb2633171 on my weekly build win7 x64 & tested it on VM last night. WU didn't complain.
2644615 and 2679255 is needed only satisfy WU? And no update superseded by KB2612905-v4? McRip, KB2679255-v2 is only Satisfy WU? I am lost with the updates "Satisfy WU" I am not accustomed, with Solor, he doesn't care for updates "WU" Thanks
thanks pegasus, it's not indicate on the repo KB2644615 and KB2679255 is needed only satisfy WU? And KB2679255-v2, too?
just run KUC the output file has all the information you are asking for. If you do not want "satisfy wu" disable "use gdr/ldr to keep" If you have a superseded update installed the outputfile tells you what the newest update is. If you want to know what updates supersedes update xy, just install xy and KUC tells you the answer.
I'll tested KUC pegasus, you're sure for KB2506014? there are files, there is not in the KB2612905v4 microsoft-windows-b..buggertransport-usb microsoft-windows-b..gertransport-serial microsoft-windows-b..uggertransport-1394 Thanks
I tested KUC, here is the result BAD: 6, what? I tested by checking/unchecking "disable use gdr/ldr to keep" And I see no difference where I need to look? In remover, it indicates to delete the KB2496290, but it is not superseded (repo Solor) Thanks
I don't see the following updates in the hotfix2.cesidian repo, but I can't find info on whether they are superseded or not either: KB2490728 KB2636613 KB2672484 I'm *thinking* these are still viable updates?
I do think that there have been some overlaps, I'm finding a number of updates in the main folder of the latest .7z that were already mentioned as added or removed before the .7z was made, and that belong in the MSMQ and NFS folders (for example I found the KB2684578-v2-x64 and KB2688203-x64 in the main list, but these are MSMQ and NFS specific and would not install on my system). It may be needed to double-check this before upping the next .7z collection. Probably KB2697737 should not be in the main list as this is XP Mode related if I'm not mistaken. KB2681584 probably shouldn't be in the main list either. I preferred the way SoLoR did this, he never put updates in the main body that rely on certain extras being installed (like XP Mode). Everything additional would be put in specific folders or not even be part of the main collection. In other words to have the updates in the main list to be the updates that install on all basic Win7 SP1 images; anything else should be in specific folders I think so that people that require the special updates (that rely on additional features/installations) can find those in the folders, not the main list. So I would propose to only have updates in the main body of the list that apply to default ALL Win7 SP1 images, and to put anything that requires and application or extras to be installed, to be placed in folders (like NFS and MSMQ and others already are, but overlooked some I think in the latest .7z). XP Mode specific updates really shouldn't be in the main list I think.
