I think it's because this thread updates very rapidly, and his post will get buried quickly. I wish this forum had a setting for how many post to display per page! (OK just found that it does, in my profile settings! Oops!)
Does this really not happen for the rest of you? Please look at your Event Viewers. I always receive these warnings after an installation of a hotfix integrated image. Each time that I make a new image, I start with fresh files from an untouched MSDN ISO. I used KUC (v.0.8.005.020) to integrate updates for my last image.
Hi Forever, Yep, I just looked at the event viewer after reading your post, and there are over 80 warning events for the .NET Runtime Optimization Service (2.0.50727.5723) - Version or flavor did not match with repository: ehiwmp Another exact entry has BDATunePIA at the end of the report. I have no idea what is causing this, and the image I'm using is fully up to date. Any of our resident gurus have any ideas?
I think its related to .net4, it adds a new mscorsvw.exe service and disables the old one (I don't think .net2 likes this) Code: ; Old HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\services\clr_optimization_v2.0.50727_32 ; New HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\services\clr_optimization_v4.0.30319_32 To see if I'm right clean out your event log, then in services.msc disable Microsoft .NET Framework NGEN v4 and re-enable v2 (automatic delayed start) to see if you still get the error
Thanks Ricktendo, I had used your wonderful .NET 4 AIO installer, and installed it during imaging with WinToolKit 1.4.26. If I get time, I will make a new image without .NET4 and look in the event log again, and see what turns up.
ricktendo64, I'm also using your .NET Framework 4 installer in my SetupComplete script. I just tried an install without it and I still received the Event 1130 warnings.
Repo updated completely. 7zip will be out tomorrow. I decided to remove SatisfyWU for good. If anybody needs an update to satisfy his WU, so let me know. I will then post a download link. Office 2010 Updates updated, too. Updated: msores-x-none.msp, mso-x-none.msp, project-x-none.msp, proof-en-us.msp, outlfltr-x-none.msp Also credits and thanks to PointZero
is KB2693391 not applicable anymore, just KB2545698? I see only KB2545698 in komm's update folder; KB2693391 is not even listed in his changelog-just wandering is all. Thanks
I have not checked with the latest versions but just prior to this I also had the event errors and I added MS FixIt50531 and MS Fixit50688... honestly I don't remember which one fixed the problem but I ALWAYS check my entire set of logs after my installs and once I did these I had NO errors
Rick... I should have reported this before but once I added the MS FixIt50531 and MS Fixit50688 the errors were gone
I already install those, in addition to Fixit50470. However, they aren't in anyway related to the .NET Runtime Optimization Service warnings I'm receiving.
I get them with AND without using his .NET Framework 4 installer, so I'm pretty sure one of the hotfixes is to blame.
Wow that really surprises me... I literally used the same hotfixes in many tests and had the errors then I added the fixes and they were gone... since then all my integrations are flawless and I have changed the hotfix content regularly... I just haven't added this Tuesdays changes yet
On My Files the available hotfix I have are these KB2642658-v2 KB2427997-v2 Should I remove these two?
