Without mentioning "WU", none of these hotfix is replaced by another (if I looked correctly)? The term "Satisfy WU" can be confusing, Me, I had understood that the hotfix was just to satisfy WU, but offered no new update
Different definition! lol. What I describe as 'Satisfy WU' is all updates, superseded or not, where the GDR version is required so that nothing is reported by WU...
My MD5 is the same but I also noticed your output says "install pending" while mine says installed: 25456986.1.1.5InstalledUpdate6/20/2012 3:252545698 Windows6.1-KB2545698-x64.msu OK/GDRKEEP this GDR update to avoid Windows message 'new updates are available'!
Looks like you took your list from an online system. My list came from an offline integrated .wim. I just ran KUC again with a list from the online system and got the same remove I had before, but status installed . The only difference I can see is that I have 32-bit and you have 64-bit. I guess we'll have to let komm explain this one
I just now noticed the repository hasn't been updated in a while. Anyone know what happened to SoLoR?
I removed 2545698 for x86. For the last KUC version in uninstalled all SatisfyWU updates and reinstalled only that, that came up. If 2545698x86 comes up for you, try uninstallation of all "satisfy wu" updates and then install only the ones KUC offers.
Komm could you please tell me how do you download the undocumented hotfixes ? I've been wondering for months. I am registred to Microsoft KB rss feeds but still, I can only see the documented hotfixes.
hi burf, thanx for your windows installer script. i have a question, after fresh install win 7 x64 sp1 + updates and i'm using your script 26c, as i rerun your script....still everytime it has 125 updates to install.this were already installed? what's going on?
Which method did you use from the menu? 1,2,3? On a fresh install option 3 is the best method to use (as long as UAC is disabled). I have a solution for Windows 8 UAC etc, as long as Microsoft doesn't stuff around with it too much again! I won't implement that until the RTM comes out though. The reason why 3 is the best is because it reboots after installing 50 updates (if it comes across a WUsatisfy update, it will install both components, so that's why it may come up as more than 50 updates). If you try to install too many updates at once DISM etc starts not to like it, and it becomes progressively slower, and it may cause problems (just a complete guess on that part). Maybe there is an update that doesn't allow other updates to be installed until a reboot, or there was an error that meant the updates weren't applied?
