Im trying to update repo, but its SOOOO slow... i knew i shouldnt upload SP1 there :< edit: but bottom line is, only those 2 are compleatly safe... most of other stuff applicable have *7600* string in version and even tho it works, it might get new versions and is probably not totaly safe to use... but on the other hand, we where installing all hotfixes for long time and nothing went terrably wrong
OK i fixed what it was to fix... I removed WindowsUpdateAgent from additions (SP1 have 7.5.x) and System Update Readiness Tool. I added KB958488 in to Hotfixes because it gets installed by .net 4.0 anyway... in list you will see lots of things in italic, all of those things might get version bump for SP1.
Maybe we'll see a post SP1 Zukobonus sometime soon now that SP1 final has been released. Its 5 days short of 2 months since the compile was done for SP1, I'm sure there are numerous updates since then, not to mention updates (hotfixes and internal hotfixes) that didn't make it into SP1
Sorry guys, this repository got more than a bit out of hand in terms of CPU usage on the box so I had to pull it. We'll see about putting it back or something after SP1 is legitimately available; I just can't have 200 people trying to grab a 900 meg file that everybody wants at once.
Thanks for so far terminx; perfectly understandable. SoLor, I was just wandering if it's possible to host the repo' via torrent or something?
Holy S##t!; 60 freakin' updates and the service pack isn't even out yet-reminds me of the 2000 Ford Focus-4 recalls and the car hadn't even hit delivery yet!!
I knew i shouldnt upload SP1 there, but i kinda hoped 10 people will notice links and people wont hotlink around, you should just remove if something like this is generating to much traffic.... lol no... it is possible but i cba occesionaly i was actualy thinking about writing script and put it in to crontab that would mirror my network drive, where im saving this kinda of "random" things so its avilable to my whole LAN to FTP once/night since im THAT lazy thing is also kinda feelt useless of actualy doing this... yes its nice to have all updates but specialy when there where zukobonuses, looking at those ~100 updates for couple of hours was tiny little bit booring
heh well its "finished" for a month and a half... ofc they are updates... even kernel was updated already so build 7601.17514 is already old
What happened to the repository? Where can we get the updates that should be installed after installing SP1?
Hi. If you will always install SP1 in future, you can remove many msu files which Microsoft released. However if you use optional component, such as WinHelp32, Windows File Management API, Windows VirtualPC, Microsoft Agent, Windows Identity Foundation, you should not remove their msu files. KB917607 WinHelp32 KB943790 Windows File Management API KB958559 Windows VirtualPC KB969168 Microsoft Agent KB974405 Windows Identity Foundation
