windows xp is not supported at all; absolutely no updates for windows xp in this repo' or thread, none of the updates should integrate.
He's using McRip's Office update pack. It should work ok on XP. ------------------- centi50, you don't need to use Office Toolkit for this- just extract all the .MSP files into your \Updates folder in your Office 2010 install source location, then install. Or, if you've already got Office installed, just run McRip's Office update pack .exe and it will install all the updates for you.
1. KUC must have access to "r:\offline\windows\system32\" during it runs, so the image must be mounted at that moment. 2. 2533552 can not be installed to an offline image. It's for online installation only.
@McRip - two short questions: 1. Why do you still have KB2685811 and KB2685813 in the main folder? I think I also reported here that I also have explorer issues even with those two installed in LDR mode; I vote for moving them to the Additional ''area''... 2. Do you plan on also updating the .7z hotfix archives in the next week? Untill now many updates came out every month mostly in the first three days after patch tuesday...
Okay, the problem is when I run KUC in XP. If I run KUC in Win7, the flags change from OK/INFO to OK/WARNING as it should be. Also none of the update cmd files generated by KUC will work in XP. There's a problem with KUC not finding the correct path as seen with the mounted wim on "r:\offline\". Same thing with the cmd files where expand fails to run because of file not found error. Remove_OLD and Copy_Files_2_add work ok. I understand that 2533552 cannot be installed to an offline image, but should you still not flag it as ADD/EXCLUSIVE so the user is aware of this fix and that it can only be integrated to the online image? Since I use the offline wim as input to build Win7, it would be good to know what fixes still need to be integrated online when I use KUC for updating an offline image. I can still ignore the msg if I don't want to install the fix later. Al
I know that he explained it. If you read my post carefully, I was questioning why my results were different from what he explained in the change log. Al
RickSteele, what i did is that i tried to integrate the office update, the one Big file of 544MB to my office 2010 dvd using Microsoft toolkit 2.3.2, but it gave me errors as posted in forums.mydigitallife.net/threads/19461-Windows-Hotfix-repository?p=634081&viewfull=1#post634081. I dont know what is the problem, dats why i said instead of doing the work on win 7 machine, i will use xp machine to integrate my DVD and make it Office 2010 with SP1 With all updates. Coz i dont know why the winrar and the micosoft toolkit gave me the errors i mentioned Above. Any help will be Apreciated Thank you
@burfadel I've seen that the latest release of Old Update Remover uninstalls KB2512352 from W7 x86. But the hotfix is still present in both Komm & McRip lists. Is it right? Thank you
