No i didnt test play with intergrating .net hotfixes in to .net installer... i didnt even know its possible need to check it out i guess...
Of course its possible, just make sure to slip NDP40-KB971891.msp into both client and extended msi installers before you attempt to add other .msp files...as I said its futile, no matter if you run setup.exe or call the msi directly it will not copy the updated files in the admin install folders it will use the ones in the .mzz archives you have to know how to edit the msi to remove the setup crap in order for the updated files to get copied One good thing about it is setup.exe will get updated and fix the problem with .net4 installer screwing up pending file rename operations
Hey SoLor, KB982861 didn't update in the repo-still the "old" IE9 downloading. Just to let ya' know....
OK ...did you ever hear any more about those mysterious Zuko post SP1 updates-just curious, especially about the kernel update?
...on a similar note, I wander whatever happened to the quarterly M$ DirectX Redistributable. They released the web installer in Nov. 2010 which updates absolutely nothing and do not follow up with the other. I wander if this is a new trend?
Well, Wzor stated they won't be leaking the complete update lists, so just hope Zuko or someone else does and maintains doing so like with Win 7 7600.
That article is very poorly written: That line is proof enough the author had no idea what they were talking about!
