"compress maximum" is good, but, really it is much easier and quicker just to install Windows from a USB flash drive. This way the size constraints are removed and one can use the "compress fast" for speedier creation/completion especially on lower end systems. Everything supports booting from USB 2 now so it shouldn't be a problem.
Tried the Windows 8 disk cleanup etc for KB2758994, it did remove it after having KB2770041 installed. However, KB2770041 is a direct replacement for KB2758994 (Flash player), I don't think it actually does this for indirect replacements (completely unrelated updates that happen to update the same files).
Yes, my mistake The Old update remover (and installer) is for Windows 7 and 8, I should probably post that info in both threads? I don't want to double post but they're relevant to both! I agree though with the other two posts, I should have posted them in the Win 8 repository thread
Yeah, the update installer/remover is for both, so that is related to this thread. I saw the part about the change for the Win8 Flash update, but forgot it included updated lists for the new Win7 hotfixes as well. I guess you'd need to double-post in both threads so both groups know about it. Or create a new thread in the Projects section (but posts there might get missed). Anyway, thanks for the work you do.
A lot of fonts have been updated in Windows 8.I think a good idea to create a fonts updates pack, which would update the fonts in Windows 7 to versions that are in the Windows 8.
No, It does not work. Installer probably don't recognize switch VSEXTUI=1 You can check yourself - it will not work.
