I removed the condition in the .msi file that it must be run from setup.exe for the 4 installers (minimum and additional of x86 and x64). The 2012 runtimes don't show in add/remove programs. This is a design of the runtime installers, not the way they are installed. Old versions of all runtimes (2005, 2008, 2010, and 2012) are still uninstalled by the redist installer
I mostly use MyUninstaller (NirSoft) instead, and the 2012 runtimes do show up there. View attachment 19032
Yes, because setup.exe add the uninstall entries. But if you dont use setup.exe to install you can prevent the system component reg entry from being added to the registry by removing ARPSYSTEMCOMPONENT from the Property table of the MSI
