Cool, I hope you are changing Sumary Info to Admin External and not what I was suggesting before (copying/replacing with second admin install MSI )
actualy i was replacing since i was doing this before i noticed that other post... question is whats wrong with replacing? does setup.exe instalation works if you are not replacing?
I mean my first instructions...in them I was saying in order for the new files to be copied you had to apply mst, create another admin install (it still copied old files) and replace the old MSI with the new one (and this time it copies the new files) This step is not needed, you said right its too complicated, much cleaner/easier to change sumary info to tell it to use external admin files
yes extension needs to be on allow list, give it maybe few hours tops, i msged server owner, he needs to fix it. One HUGE positive thing of installing like this is speed, patching and installing takes maybe 1/3 of time that would you normaly install .net and then all hotfixes manualy.
because the file extension .7z is not supported. once the file extension is renamed it'll be ok but the link will change
nah extenstion wont be renamed since i compressed it with 7zip intentionaly (100MB vs 170MB with zip), its just server configuration needs to be fixed
Zip file link works, the 7-zip (.7z) file link doesn't. Having the 7-zip file link working would be nice since the donwload is around half the size
as you see zip works for people, i assume it doesnt work for you because server ip was changed today and your dns servers didnt refresh it yet.
