I'll look at the Windows 7 stuff for the 'old update remover' once I get back tonight (it's 7:32am Thursday here).

Is it just me missing links (to KBs) in Affected Software's tables
on page Microsoft Security Bulletin Summary for May 2013 (technet.microsoft.com/en-us/security/bulletin/ms13-may) ?

I don't know if it has been already pointed out and maybe it is the expected behavior: if so, forgive me and disregard this.
Old Update Remover 17-May uninstalls some updates still present in McRip's Win7 x86 repository and log:
    Code:
    KB2591500-v3
    KB2647753-v4
    KB2719985
    KB2732840-v3
I hope this could help. Thank you for your nice work, really appreciated.

Thanks for this info! I'll look into it. I didn't get around to looking at it once I got home last night, and it's 6:15am Friday here! So if I don't get to it tonight I will tomorrow when I'm free!

    • 2591500-v3 is listed as superseded in Komm's list
    • 2647753-v4 was removed in error (due to various versions of the update)
    • 2719985 is listed as a WU satisfy updated by Komm, therefore is inactive with the sole purpose of satisfying WU. This has been reported to me as not needed to WU, can someone confirm this. Sometimes newer installs won't show older WU satisfy updates, but older installs that had it installed will show it.
    • 2732840-v3 was removed in error (due to various versions of the update)

    Also:
    • 2791765 is listed as removed by McRip on 15 May 2013, but Ricksteele has reported it is required for Windowsupdate on his system
    • 2761217 is listed as removed by McRip on 12 November 2012, however is listed as SatisfyWU by Komm, and Ricksteele reported required for WU on his system
    • 2661254 is listed as removed by McRip on 15 May 2013, however is listed as SatisyWU by Komm, Ricksteele reported as required for WU on his system
    • 2545698 is listed as removed by McRip on 28 December 2012, however is listed as SatisfyWU by Komm on 21 January 2013, Ricksteele reported as required for WU on his system
    • 2685939 is listed as removed by McRip on 14 March 2013, AND by Komm on 20 March 2013, but reported required for WU satisfaction by Ricksteele

Can all of the above be checked? :)

The variations are due to the nature of Windowsupdates. Not only are they complex to follow at times, as you should be aware by previous posts (partial superseding etc), but WU satisfaction creates another whole set of issues in relation to what to keep or not. So those listed above are observations, not criticism, McRip (Win 7), Pointzero (Win8), Komm (KUC, updates), Alphawaves (WHD) and others do excellent work :)
So, just need confirmation about 2591500-v3 and 2719985 regarding the reason why they are still present and if they are actually required for Windowsupdate satisfaction.

    Thanks :)

You have a more than reasonable excuse :D

It's only 2719985 and 2591500-v3 from that list, plus the other 5 I listed, the other two were my fault. Just so people know, regarding those 7 that need checking, they are all inactive updates required for WU satisfaction.
