The real version/build date of wdstptc.dll v6.1.7601.17514 (win7sp1_rtm.101119-1850) v6.1.7600.20882 (win7_ldr.110116-1501) So you can see that KB2495879 was made months after rtm
Halo McRip , just now check for it the update is it missing for the update KB2844286 (MS13-052: Description of the security update for the .NET Framework 3.5.1 on Windows 7 Service Pack 1 and Windows Server 2008 R2 Service Pack 1: July 9, 2013) Microsoft Camera Codec Pack (16.4.1970.0624) KB2803615 ($MyInvocation.MyCommand object is set to null when you run the script by using PowerShell 3.0 in Windows 8 or in Windows Server 2012) for the KB2803615 not only windows 8 ... also available to window 7 , i dont know is correct it or not ... or maybe have superseded by other ? and the WinSxS folder can delete it ??
I will try another install today but yesterday I did a clean Win7Entx64 with Office 2010x86 with the "slipstreamed" SP2 ONLY (I had deleted all the files that were previously in the updates folder)and when we ran MSU it showed nothing so based on what your stating I am confused
I did the same thing except my operating system & Office 2010 are 64 bits & there's no additional updates.
What I really mean is that after installing SP2 to Office 2010 RTM, do not run Windows Update. You just straight away install the latest msp files from McRip's Office 2010 repo. I believe that it should work, since the version number of the hotfixes are higher than of SP2 msp files. For sure, Windows Update only offers public updates, but not such cumulative updates (the ones in McRip's Office 2010 repo). In my opinion, just install the proof-xx-xx.msp corresponding to your language. For me, I install only proof-en-us.msp.
It must be me but I don't get it... my last update of McRip's Office Repo (can't get to it now) using the WinToolKit downloaded 411 msp files... are you saying that they are all newer than the files in SP2 and need to be added or are you picking specific files for some reason that I am not aware of?
