For September Patch Tuesday: KUC W7 only installs LDR for KB2574819, but GDR version is also needed to satisfy WU. WU offering KB2592687, but not offered by KUC W7 Al
My system only have KB2574819 x64 in LDR branch & WU is satisfied. I don't know about KB2592687 since I don't have Remote Desktop Protocol turn on.
Okay, KBs possibly my bad. KUC showed RDP 8.0 as not found so I did not have it checked in Select Additions, but WU will still offer the RDP update and its pre-req (KB2574819) anyway, so I guess I need to put a check-mark there to let KUC do its thing. I am running x32. edit: KUC will install the GDR version of KB2574819 if RDP 8.0 is selected, otherwise only the LDR version if RDP 8.0 is not selected. Thanks..
KB2574819-v2 is just a regular security update and because it's a prerequisite for RDP8, KB2592687 gets offered in WU so if want the RDP8, install it, otherwise just hide it in WU
for the KB2574819 information "To apply the Remote Desktop Protocol 8.0 update for Windows 7 SP1 and Windows Server 2008 R2 SP1 (hotfix 2592687), you must have hotfix 2574819 installed" if want apply RDP 8.0 have to install KB2574819 first .
Thanks, but don't think there's a need. Microsoft is said to come up with a out-of-band hotfix to replace that fixit ''very'' soon.
Thanks for the hints. I'm a check it when I have the time for it. Just prepping my move to a new residence and a new city... KB2574819-v2 is fully superseded but it is needed as a prerequiste for the RemoteDesktopProtocol8.0. So there is no need for putting it into the main folder.
@McRip Even cooler Extra, other things to check out, regarding the KB2506143 (Windows Management Framework 3.0) folder: 5. KB2809215 (x64 only) is superseded? It's not present in the KB2506143 folder - I think you've deleted it by mistake. 6. KB2781048-v2 (x64) and KB2856905 (x64 and x86) are the KB2506143 folder. Why? I think they're both not KB2506143 related, but Active Directory related. 7. KB2701373-v4 is not present in the x64 folder of KB2506143 (as it should - it's present only in the x86 folder) 8. In the KB2506143 folder, the ''Prerequisite'' .txt has this instruction: ''Before you install this update, make sure you have .NET 4.0 installed.'' - I think it's best you change the last part to ''at least 4.0 - best you install .net 4.5''
@McRip At last, some minor issues / questions (again, when you'll have the time): 9. KB971033 - not present in your servers. Please make a sub-folder for it; 10. (Optional / question) KB2685811 and KB2685813 - aren't better in the not-integratable folder, as they may generate issues on some systems when integrated offline? At least please make a sub-folder for them (with an instructions .txt, including info that they may generate issues)... I just hope KDMF 1.13 (~ around the corner) from windows 8.1 will be issue free 11. (Optional / question) KB943790 is integrated with errors by Win Toolkit. Again, Legolash said at some point the solution is to integrate it online, during first logon. Won't it be better suited for the non-integratable folder? Or at least please make a .txt with this info, that it's best installed on an online image, and not integrated. 12. Regarding the AMD hotfix (KB2646060-v3), it's best you offer it as the original .msu instead of the extracted .exe, as it's only a power management tweak and it's integratable as a .msu. btw, has the same effect on Intel systems (a little more performance at the expense of ''less'' power management) and it's harmless (not AMD hardware-bound).
Windows 7 19.09.2013 Added: KB971033 (Additional/Windows7ActivationUpdateChecker) KB2646060-v3 (Additional/KB2646060.Disable.AMD.Core.Parking) KB2834140-v2 Removed: KB2834140 Other issues will be fixed asap...
