what updates have you chosen not to install I just started isntalling updates on another laptop and 12 updates into the installation trusted installer isn ow an automatic service with no stop control Edit it looks like the Windows Modules Installer start type and controls are modified by KB2836943 prior to install and then are not properly reset back to the windows defaults upon completion
I think i know whats done it, i ran the windows update cleanup earlier and the trusted installer is locked in the automatic and running position when any changes are to be made to windows packages during updates and update removal. it'll be reset on my next reboot
Can Komm (or everyone) help to make the mentioned 8 files available ? Otherwise, could not apply the "KUC W7 UpateChecker" effectively. Thanks.
The .msp files are in those .cab files. Just extract them out with 7-Zip. I just checked and they all can be downloaded through KUC. I'm not sure about earlier, but those 8 can be downloaded now.
Excluding Silverlight, MSE and KB890830-x64-V5.5, This is what WU shows with my x64 image which was fully patched with KUC prior to 10-8 patch Tues... each of these has a published date of 10-8 View attachment 24445
*Update* I downloaded and installed KB2827228 through windows update and then copied the following cab files from this location... Code: C:\Windows\SoftwareDistribution\Download I then extracted the 2 files are got these two files... Code: msointl-en-us and Code: mso-x-none I then created a folder and created a bat file to install the updates... Code: msiexec /p msointl-en-us.msp REINSTALL=ALL REINSTALLMODE=omus msiexec /p mso-x-none.msp REINSTALL=ALL REINSTALLMODE=omus pause Now in the future i can just install this update manually.... as if you add these files to the updates folder as i did for every other one, the installation reports error 2902! ***Does anyone have the x64 bit files please, if so can you upload them? ***
