So, these people were right when they said, "I have not in one of pack..." because there IS NO x64 version of this. So to make demeaning Google comments and twist perfectly good sayings to this end does not make sense. They were right, THERE IS NO SUCH UPDATE! It's only for x86. Mictlan asked for a x64 version, not a x86 one...
My point is any time there is a problem it seems some immediately post rather than trying to help themselves out first. Google it, go to the repository etc. It states right in SoLor's updates changelog that this is x86 only. How much simpler does it get. The update is in the pack, but, only in the x86 pack. The Google comments and twisting thing, well, that would be your interpretation and your welcome to it. The M$ KB article I arrived at by "Googling" for it also states there is only a x86 version. The download I arrived at by "Googling" only offers a x86 version. It is in the Repository under the x86 folder.
You know very well that if you're a total n00b to this you would not know how to distinguish what you read on Google in the first place. You know it's true. This is why he's asking that here. And if you're going to answer him anyway, then what is the point? Just answer the man. I'm sure he knows what Google is. Just like I wait for SoLoR to find out about what's obsolete and what's not. Is it completely impossible for me to learn how to do this, and does SoLoR have a unique brain and only he can determine what is what? No, he's got a good brain but we can all do this, yet we wait for him because his expertise is developed and he is therefore so much less error-prone than most of us would be. So it is the case for Bapt when he asks these question of us. Since he has been getting these updates from the SoLoR and his list, and still he does not see what is what that should tell you something. To just imply he's lazy instead of him not understanding, yes, it is demeaning, UNLESS it is beyond doubt that he is lazy and lazy only. So that is what I'm saying. If you don't understand, I don't think Google will be able to help you But yes, go thank each other, because you were both wrong.
he asked for KB2502285-X64, Squall-Leonhart reply that it's in one of sweetsmiles packs I reply that I haven't seen this Update where is the problem? it's not I who seek this update, which doesn't exist why go to Google search? while I didn't ask
I soon finished assembling information for the latest updates, I don't know if they are really OK (this is my 1st time), if Solor or SweetSmile, can quickly look (when I would have posted)
And NOW you want to get away be sounding magnanimous, 'there, there'. You are unbelievable. First demean people, be totally wrong about what you're reading, and at the end of all that tell the involved people not to worry about anything. Why don't you just apologize for your s**tty attitude and be a man about it? As for me, I don't care what you have to say, I did not write this for myself. I just can't stand these prideful internet people that think they talk whatever hell the way they want to others. Just like Ricktendo, just like you. You were wrong, plain and simple. Admit, apologize to the people you demean, and move on. Simple as that.
That Google must be rather indiscriminate, to have so many friends -- but I can tell that he likes you in particular
I do not know if it's good and there must be errors I think GDR KB942914-v2: ??? This was offered to me via M$ update after a fresh install of Ultimate x64 SP1 integrated by M$, so, I guess...., but, that said SoLor does not have it in his repo...
@bapt All of the updates install for me except (update not applicable): KB2413670 KB2462137 KB2462585 KB2466373 KB2468316 When searching the KB articles they all came up as Server 2008 R2 only The rest you have flagged as (for Windows Vista or Windows Server 2008??) all install fine, for me anyways. Regarding: KB2400157-v2 (Windows-LDDMCore 6.1.7601.21624) and KB2502285-86?? (Windows-LDDMCore6.1.7601.17554/6.1.7601.21653) to be replaced by KB2495076 (windows-lddmcore 6.1.7601.21640) I would assume one cannot mix x86 with x64 when superseeding; don't know this for sure though.
Rick, my list of updates that won't install on my (x64) system include all the ones you mention, but there are several more. I uninstalled ALL updates I previously had installed (from SoLoR's list), went back to IE8, but still I cannot install any of the following updates: KB2413670-v3-x64 KB2462576-v2-x64 KB2462585-v2-x64 KB2466373-v2-x64 KB2468316-v2-x64 KB2490728-x64 KB2485543-x64 KB2495655-x64 KB2491890-x64 Now, you're on x64 too, right? Those updates you mention, they are v2/3's, right? Do you see the last 4 in the above list? Do those really install for you when you try manually? Because I only get the "not applicable" message on those. It could be they are Server only, but they were part of SweetSmile's packs. Can you please verify if those work for you and let me know? Thanks...
