Because they are superseded by hotfixes or non-offered updates, and Windows Update does not recognize or acknowledge these newer updates
I managed to solve the issues with WU by integrating those updates as well. Only problematic now is kb2830477, which I integrated but WU shows it again with size around 900kb, but original size is 6,43 MB. This time I used NTLite which seems is far superior then WinToolkit regarding updates. It can integrate everything, even those _NotAllowedOffline updates which toolkit adds to "Silent Install + SFX" and doing so it drastically increases size of installation and can't fit on DVD, plus Windows installation is slower with toolkit because of silent installs.
The "_NotAllowedOffline" updates were categorized like that for simple clear reason, they are Not Allowed Offline yes, you can integrate them, but they will be just null entries in the updates lists, and will not serve the purpose of each btw, KB947821 is ment or needed only when there is updates / WU errors
Well, after I used toolkit and integrated all updates, except "_NotAllowedOffline" there was KB976932 on WU, which is SP1 but was only few MB. After I added NotAllowedOffline with wintoolkit, which moved them to "Silent Install + SFX" that update was gone from WU. After I did the same thing with NTLite, which is not using "Silent Install + SFX" I got same results. Can you explain why those updates are not allowed offline? Is it possible that author of NTLite found a way to properly integrate them into offline image?
The SP1 KB976932 entry in WU represent the update KB2533552 they are like this by design from microsoft KB2533552 is a servicing stack update and require live system to update the components KB2603229 contains an exe file that correct entries in the registry, and those entries are found only in live online system KB947821 is as its description say, it's a tool to fix errors with installed packages and Windows Update, and that cannot be done with offline image there is no way or workaround, he might also using silent install but in a hidden way
Thank you for detailed explanation. I also don't know how he do it, I only know that installation file size does not get so big with NTLite compared to WinToolkit, and can still fit to DVD.
Windows update only mention kb2830477 but its also download and install kb2857650 so next time you update your istalation add kb2857650 and the kb2830477 wont saw again after fresh install
I don't have kb2857650 installed, and yet kb2830477 isn't showing in WU maybe this just applies to LDR branch
