gdiplus.dll file version mentioned on KB3015692 MS support site is 5.2.7601.22863. However the patch downloaded from the hotfix server contains file version 6.1.7601.22862, so KB3015692 (5.2)+KB3013126 (6.1) supersede KB2965705 (5.2,6.1).

Both the same. The KB3024777 does only execute the DISM command you mentioned, nothing else.

Hmm, I was just looking into KB2949927 and am a bit confused. This update was purportedly withdrawn by Microsoft, yet it appears in the WHD downloads for me (in Security folder). Is there any reason for this? (I have not had any problems with this particular update and it seems to be a very broad one.)

Last night in VM I installed all updates but not any Additional or Extra ones (except IE11). Maybe it's due to having installed KB2984972 (the RDC update) or whatever the reason, but I had a bunch of RDP updates offered by WU. Does anyone know anything about this? I kept installing them, then at one point 3 of them failed, then I uninstalled all RDP related updates, ran WU again, again got 5 or 6 offered during 2 WU runs, to finally be quiet about it after about 6 reboots... I don't really want to install those RDP updates but I'm not sure what triggered them to be offered. Is it 2984972?

No reason, withdrawn updates usually stays in WHD until further notice :D
and it's still available from MS servers
actually, lot of its components are now included or superseded by other updates

RDP updates are offered by default to all systems

OK, I did another VM install with updates applied (LDR>GDR mostly). Then also had a collection of WU-Satisfy updates I maintain (that get offered on WU) and installed those with regular GDR script. I skipped the RDP updates because of the failed updates I was experiencing yesterday, to see if it had to do with the RDC trouble update 2984972 or not, so that's partially why those RDP updates you'll see below get offered on WU. Not totally, though, as I had many of those problematic updates fail or get re-offered more than once on WU, pretty much like you can see below, which are the results of today. It's just some notes I kept along with installing updates on this VM install:

Isn't that crazy? I've done a 100 builds using these methods (I use sysprep) but never had those updates fail and keep being offered like this. I remember from some months ago I also had problems with RDC/P updates but I can't quite remember what the exact problems were. Anyway, WU finally shut up and it looks like it resolved some of the issues by itself.

EDIT: btw, using the same routine with Win7 x86 I had no such issues.
