Windows 7 Hotfix repository

Some observations made in latest WHD Win 7 x86-64:
KB2978742 is shown as 468 MByte while is 468 KByte
Windows6.1-KB2952664-v7-x64 and Windows6.1-KB2952664-v8-x64 are both included - is this correct?

Is what have to install the file "authroot.stl" (Root Certificates)
I install it before, but I wonder if I need it (date 2012)
And especially since I did not install it, I sometimes of "Only secure content is displayed" message with IE10

I do not need to install it then (strange that the installation, I have no message indicating that there is no need)

With Windows 7, the upgrade is done by hotfix (I never use WU)?
Or I have to install the version of 2014 (or just make a change in the registry so that updates are automatic, but without using WU)

No problem for me with this hotfix and Windows 7 x64 (integrate with script)

 

This hotfix gets downloaded by WHDownloader, but it isn't in abbodi1406's hotfix change log on dropbox.
Also, the Microsoft KB article says this is a hotfix for Windows Server 2008 R2 when used as a domain controller, so it doesn't seem relevant to Windows 7.

Perhaps abbodi1406 can shed some light on why it is in the WHDownloader list.

Digging a bit further in the KB article, KB3025980 replaces the SMB 2.0 driver Srv2.sys, LDR branch version is 6.1.7601.22909. This is on my Windows 7 x64 system, so not just for server 2008.

 

I forgot to update the changlog

any hotfix/update available to windows 7 is applicable, even if kb article doesn't say that
each kb article describe the certain fix that is applicable to certain scenario (in this case only affect server), however the updated component should contain all previous fixes which are applicable for many scenarios

I do not need these updates for language keyboard.
If I do not install, other files will not be updated or is it just for dll language keyboards

I uninstalled the 3 hotfixes and I have this problem in IE10.

Reinstalling the 2970228, the scrollbar is ok

Does the other 2 are mandatory?
I have not found new file version with those there
