Balmer not Balmer ; you and I know M$ couldn't exist without him. I mean, who else could manage to get rid of just about anybody that mattered to the company so efficiently?!!
1 more new hotfix released on MS Download center today: KB2488113 and ofc new System Update Rediness Tool... we still need more i think we should get at least new .net, more specificaly at least new KB958488 edit: WAT (KB971033) is same on SP1 as before (at least acording to WU).
theres 2 versions of KB2488113 one is the correct patch (Direct3D and Direct2D may crash) and specifically patches the D3D10 core files and the other is for Windows 7 Embedded lol, nvm, the first google hit was actually leading to a subdownload page from the KB article >.>
Agreed, parallel to Windows 7 SP1, Microsoft should have released Net Framework 4 SP1, something which I am sure they'd be working on. It just makes sense considering there are so many updates for the Framework and the update system isn't the most streamlined...
Ya' know, I'm finding Googla' to be a pain in the butt and Bing to be better, therefore have switched default search provider to Bing. Google is not nearly as good as it used to be; retrieving all but what you actually want in your query, listing pages and pages of garbage-Google is not your friend, Bing is your friend!
Thanks for the info, will add it to my waik sup/doc update folders BTW view and req hotfix dl worked fine for me
It wasn't working for me a couple of hours ago, it must have been fixed. At least its not like some of the Office 2010 updates last year (which have since been superseded). Microsoft never got around to fixing numerous errors with the request system for those updates. Some of the errors were quite obvious, such as simple spelling errors, updates containing different files to what the update claimed (usually missing files), the update requests linking to the wrong updates! (correct kb article number, wrong download)... etc.
I must have caught M$ at a bad time updating the page or something. I noticed only the file that matches your live OS shows-no x86; it used to be all available would show, wasn't it? One more thing, not that it matters I don't think, but if you transfer all the WAIK/OPK SP1 supplement files via command rather than copying by right click all the file name font cases change to what they were in their respective kits. ie: lower case instead of upper case etc.-merely a cosmetic thing I think.
There was bunch of new office 2010 updates today, however since MS didnt release commulative article yet im not sure if i have all...
Wierd, the only thing I get now are the language packs for SP1-all other updates installed from your repo. You don't include Office 2010 anymore do you?
