Mate where I can download these updates? I have checked your upload site and there isn't any new files.
I noticed the same thing. It usually happens when they update the KB article text, not the hotfix itself. For Office Updates MS released a KB article recently: Look for KB953878 since I can't post links until I reach 20 posts Also, yesterday MS released 3 Hotfixes for Office 2010 and a couple for Office 2007, just take a look at the Office RSS Feed like SoLoR mentionned. Regards, JakeLD
For those who wish to deploy those hotfixes using WSUS technology, there is a free tool called Local Update Publisher which really work great. So far, I deployed 140 hotfixes and it really been a time saver.
Are there any other post sp1 Win7 updates in the pipeline? Just asking, for x64 I have about 93 excluding net framework 4.0 Thank you (link is down I guess).
KB2387530 KB2498472 For these updates available from Microsoft Download Center, can you guys confirm that it is unnecessary to install them in Windows 7 SP1?
KB2498472 is the newest version of NTOSKERN available so far and is applicable to SP1, though the build numbers go back to 7600 for some reason, but they literally are the latest version of ntoskern (and newer than SP1's) i expect a V2 will be around eventually with SP1 corrected buildstring. KB2387530 is older than november 2010 (most filesfrom 2009), so is older than SP1 and is not applicable.
x64-24.2.2011.7z downloaded from hxxp://hotfixrepo.geeksmack.net/Office.2010/x64-24.2.2011.7z appears to be damaged. Is it just me, or does anyone else have the same problem?
Only issue i had was getting it to download all the way. It would time out right before it's finished. But i did manage to dl it and it's not damaged.
Its demaged it should be ~311 MB yesterday ftp stoped working in the middle of uploading and i still cant connect to it today to fix it. I HATE this FTP server
Dude, FTP is so... 90's (or even 80's). SFTP (the thing for SSH, not the FTPS hackery) is not only secure, but is also a muuuuuuuch more reliable and robust protocol (for starters, it doesn't split communication among a bunch of different ports like FTP does). Does the hoster have the ability to offer you SFTP?
As such, if I are to integrate kb947821-v10 to Windows 7 SP1 image using RT 7 Lite, it will not update the image, right? Are you saying that it is not necessary to integrate the hotfix? Thanks for the advice given.
You will gain nothing by integrating this hotfix, all it will add is a uninstall entry no files are updated
