Hi! Having problems installing latest Monthly quality update. BypassESU v.12. The update is detected, but it fails to install. Tried 3 times. I also tried to install it manually but same result. One peculiar thing I notice. When restarting the system when prompted and the update configuration starts I see the message ''Windows Update is stopping''. Never seen that before, and probably herein the problem lies. Any suggestions? Thanks! Micke
Micke: The BypassESU-v12_u.7z tool will allow you to allow updates up to January 2023. The Win7_WU_ESU_Patcher.7z tool will allow you to install updates up to October 2024. KB5027275 is for Windows Embedded Standard 7 and was released in June 2023. In order to install it, you first need to deploy the second tool for accepting embedded updates and then restart your computer. You should then be able to install the update.

I just finished updating Windows 7 Pro SP1 64-bit (configured to receive embedded updates) in this order: KB5028871 NET Framework 3.5.1 S&QR KB5028860 NET Framework 4.8 S&QR KB5028240 SMQR (restart) KB5028264 SSU (restart) Everything went fine.
New update for windows 7 internet explorer is out : 2023-07 Cumulative Security Update for Internet Explorer 11 for Windows Embedded Standard 7 for x64-based systems (KB5028167) ht tps://w ww.catalog.update.microsoft .com/ScopedViewInline.aspx?updateid=deb50716-c974-40c2-b197-3b1e910e5211 or ht tps://w ww.catalog.update.microsoft .com/Search.aspx?q=windows+7+x64+2023
There is no need to install the KB5028167 CSU for IE11 if you install the KB5028240 SMQR. The CSU comes as part of the SMQR and will update IE11 to version 11.0.300.
Only out of curiosity. Why do you install the SSU AFTER SMQR? I would think that the natural order is to install SSU first.
configured to receive embedded updates = Windows Update it always offer SSU the last, or when no other updates are pending
July rollout destroyed all my wireless stuff, I mean, WiFi and Bluetooth. Wireless card doesn't work anymore with error ID 39 - driver corrupted or missing; needless to say that driver works perfectly if I rollback to June update. I have AzureWave combo card based on Ralink RT3290, so I tried AzureWave and Ralink drivers both to no joy. And yes, they work both on June update. If it matters, I talk about HP Pavilion g6 with wireless card AzureWave AW-NB087H. OS is Win 7 Professional 64 bit retail with legal key. Any suggestion plz?
It seems like You're a hell right. What an ill mind flow ms has BTW? OK, they stop signing NEW drivers but for what break already signed? Total nonsense from my point of view
