I's appreciate if somebody knowledgeable would bother to enlighten me on this.

Hello, could you tell me what tool I need to install these updates? I have Windows Embedded Standard 7, Use the patches, Win7_WU_ESU_Patcher...and....BypassESU-v12, and with both, it gives me an error.
Windows Defender's update feature is broken once again, it already happened during Summer 2023 but they ended up fixing it back then. I also noticed the same problem in W8.1. Trying to update using the WD GUI fails as well. Only manual update of the definitions works. So this time the root of the problem is different due to requiring newer/more secure Ciphers to be able to fetch the updates ? Can't really blame Microsoft for requiring more secure Ciphers for certain connections to their servers but this may unintentionally leave pre-W10 WD users in the dust...
