    I just typed a long post about repeatedly getting an error message when trying to install KB5055171.
    Then I remembered that it was a .Net4.8 update and I hadn't been using the .Net bypass.
    Sometimes I even surprise myself with how damn stupid I can be.
    I've now installed KB5055171 successfully.:rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes:

    My situation was a little bit like yours but I had enabled .NET 4 ESU Bypass from esu bypass v13f settings. I then disabled that setting, then rebooted, then re-enabled and rebooted again and finally I was able to install KB5055684 from Windows Update. So thank you for this! You helped me even if by just accident. =)

    For what it's worth I was able to install ndp48-kb5055171-x64_8b54e011ef2523e03e43bcef1f306e5aa59b79f3.exe with only ESU enabled by TSforge.

    They were going for Out-of-Order, but the abbreviation would be funny :p

    Windows Vista SP2 64-bit continues to be updated every month by using Windows Server 2008 64-bit updates.
    Windows 7 SP1 64-bit continues to be updated every month by using Windows Server 2008 R2 64-bit updates.
    This will supposedly end for both operating systems in January 2026.

    Windows Vista SP2 32-bit continues to be updated every month by using Windows Server 2008 32-bit updates. Server 2008 was the last one with a 32bit version.
