0patch still has support for Windows 7 / Server 2008 R2 until January 2028 if you want to use such solutions. They extended support for one additional year.
How does that hoax support 7 when there is nothing to support it with? Afaik, 0patch is just a hoax (to put keep it nice).
Not just it´s a entire scam and you(your pc) by using it, is in the hands from pseudo-skynet (your pc is now a in a bot network) Congratulations!
Makes me wonder indeed if these new certificates can't just be extracted from W10+ and then manually added onto older OSs ? Surely it can't be that easy...
Indeed then it would probably be useless. In the meantime, I tested and I was able to install these certificates from W10 without problem into W8, even the ECC ones. Microsoft ECC Product Root Certificate Authority 2018 also needs to be installed however. But that doesn't guarantee it will work in 2027... Spoiler: CERTIFICATES Edit : These certificates likely require up-to-date wuaueng.dll anyway, which got updated on W10+ with the July 2026 Updates. So it really looks like they want to completely kill off WU access to anything pre-W10 this time. Edit 2 : I don't think the SelfUpdate mechanism itself is the problem because it also exists on WSUS but WSUS is not affected. I believe the July 2026+ updates to the Windows Update Agent component is what will be crucial for proper functioning. Otherwise W10 1507/1511 and other unsupported W10 versions would also be able to continue to access WU.
