Did you mean you have 14.0.5136.5000 on your system? And the gk updates available are actually versions 14.0.5127.5000. But still a seeming discrepancy, I noticed it too.
eh... this is (almost) same as saying that windows kernel update updates other files version to that version. 14.0.5126.5000 is from update that you download... that 14.0.5123.5003 is old version and KB article wasnt updated.... there is _no_ 14.0.5127.5000
2515337 is only applicable if you live in (UTC +12:00)Fiji and (UTC -11:00)Samoa does Windows6.1-KB2459268-x64.msu correct the sp1 usb issue?
it has effect or its applicable are 2 diffirent things its applicable no matter where you live and what kind of windows you have, it just wont have any effect unless you live in those 2 timezones... and you never know maybe ill go to fiji just during daylight saving and hotfix will be useful reading to much of KB articles is not good for peoples heads, specialy about so not important hotfix like timezone update is.
no, applicability resolves to case scenario, installing a utc update for the sake of it is not worth it even for update reasons.
ye ye i know what you mean, but bottom line is having new timezone update shouldnt break anything for anyone else living outside fiji/samoa in fact update have EXACTLY same registry settings for other timezones, except fiji/samoa are fixed thus there is no harm in installing update... im quiet certain 90% of all this hotfixes people wouldnt notice the difference if they have them or not, however there might be a situation that since they have hotfix they wont expiriance problem hotfix fixes and its exactly same with timezone update... you might go to fiji for a vacation and since you have hotfix daylight saving will switch on correct time (i dont know if this specific update fixes this, but usualy its something like that, i stoped reading KB articles a year go since you can always find a reason why NOT to install something). So if you try to dismiss one update with rationalizing its usefulness, then its almost the same as dismissing them all and keep up with whatever is offered over WU and in this case this is very wrong topic EDIT need to add this since its important: OK this is first timezone updatefor SP1 fixes 2 timezones, hotfixes are commutative and superseeds eachother, next one will fix this 2 old timezones and for example 2 new ones, 3rd one will fix old 4 ones and one new one... so when in your rationalized world its time to install timezone update? when it fixes YOUR timezone? sorry few milion people living in fiji/samoa, you are not important (and maybe few bilion if timezone update fixes Chinese timezone)! /sarcasm
Talking about taking a trip... if babies can understand all that where you come from Ricktendo, I'm moving over there!
