Yes forgot to upload it... ;( anyway i updated the list... keep in mind that if you force update-bf.mum only (like i do), 2 of updates still show on WU after and 2 are pefectly fine and not there.... wierd... i just manualy hide them
huh? folding at home? The uninstaller has 3-lookup lists, the standard list, the x64 only list, and the LDR placeholder list (so you can remove the LDR placeholders if you force install LDR versions), and compares that to the updates installed, and removes the installed updates if they're on the list (hence the need to be up to date). I'm not sure why it would affect anything to do with folding at home, or anything else not Windows update related for that matter! Check the lookup lists, the numbers are the KB article numbers (just without KB in front of them).
Ahhh! I see why, like I said, I accidentally put '&' which isn't allowed! So, basically the uninstaller was asking to run the program 'uninstall', which must be the name of the Folding @ Home uninstaller which happens to be in the command path The & command is used so little at the command prompt I wasn't actually aware of it You can try it out, go to the command prompt, and copy and right mouse click then paste (for instance) the following Code: color e & dir /-n & echo. & echo Look at those files! & echo They are on the opposite side to normal & echo Not to mention the colour just being... wrong! & echo. & echo Lets try this again after you press a key & pause >nul & color 8 & dir & echo. & echo Thats better... I think
SoLoR, Windows6.1-KB979350-v2-x64.msu is in the x86 LDR placeholders folder. Just letting you know...
IE8 updates are no longer provided by SOLOR as mentioned in updates.htm Code: Updated: 27.3.2011 - Added: KB2505348, KB2508054, KB2520513, KB2523087 - Removed: KB2465990-v3, KB2519231, removed all IE8 hotfixes, use IE9!
In this case no it does not replace any update. I use neither of those browsers as Firefox 4 is my main browser however I always integrate IE9 to keep up with the latest updates.
I compared the file versions, and KB2497640 replace KB2482017 I was wrong or not? if someone can confirm thanks
I told you a few pages back in this thread quoting the same quote that you are on your own with IE8, so, stick with MS$ update or find out why you can't run IE9 and fix it!
I don't use IE9 because I don't like it I just wonder if this new update (KB2497640, available on WU) replaces the KB2482017, that's all
