I use IE8, I install it? It replaces an update?

    thanks

EDIT: after a search is an update to install (for users of IE8) and removed the KB2475792

is it possible to use a script or other to force the installation of Updates in LDR but integrating Updates to ISO (using for example Gimagex)?

    thanks

My script is around 2/3 done :) that will be a LDR integrating script. I just haven't had time to sit down and work on it in the last couple of weeks (I'm actually doing other things at the moment and have this in the background)!. Once it is completed it should be pretty straight forward to use.

I'll add it as part of the installer script. When it is completed I'll post it as a 'beta' script so people can test it out, and I'll make any changes necessary before posting it as v18.

Did you solve the problem you had where you needed to integrate the cab first?

using the script of burfadel (for LDR) we have KBxxxxxx and KBxxxxxx_BF

is it not possible to have just the LDR (KBxxxxxx-BF)?
it's obliged to have the 2 "KB"?

LDR Update if available, having just KBxxxxxx_BF and so just GDR available, have KBxxxxxx

    thanks ;)

It seems logical to just install the LDR versions, but for consistency the GDR update should also be installed. If you don't, it could cause minor issues with Windowsupdate (nothing that is serious, just the updates will show), and also the updates can still be installed via the .msu method. The update installs because it is just dealing with those missing GDR files :) Actually more precisely, I believe its dealing with the missing manifest files.

There's a Windowsupdate update coming out with this patch Tuesday also, don't know what differences are with it though.

You had a problem with updates not installing via MUM until you integrated CAB first, dism could not find the file specified

No I didn't, but I guess its one of those anomalous things that I have to take into account, I'm guessing nobody else has this issue?

After this patch Tuesday I plan to do a fresh install since it doesn't take me very long (I have all the installers etc on a separate drive), I'll see if it does the same thing after that.

    @ SoLoR
Talking about this patch Tuesday, can you post a new list of all the post sp1 updates like you did before? I would like to update the list.

Patch Tuesday includes too muffups regarding SP1 installation. The 0xC0000034 error (which would be a real pain) and the USB issue. These two issues are really obvious, I'm surprised they didn't fix them earlier.

    @others
The reason for wanting the list is not each 'new' update makes it to the hotfix repository as they may be actually 'older' than the updates already there, or other updates offered at the same time. SoLoR uses a more accurate check the file versions that are update method for superseded hotfixes which is much more accurate, a kb article superseded system is pretty useless as it is based on specific issues, and not the actual files updated.

No you did not tell me this was a problem?

This is not normal, I told you to edit & give v17 a try or solors script and you will see this type of error does not occur

those were two pretty bad screw up's to be left in a service pack, can understand a simple hotfix getting messed up but a full service pack, that's just incompetence.

I hope SP2 turns out more stable & complete.

KB2533552 does not break integration because it cannot be integrated, I will add it during sysprep

    Code:
Processing 1 of 1 - Package_for_KB2533552: The specified package cannot be added to an offline image.
Add this package to a running operating system using the /Online option.
